Episode Tropes:

  • And the Adventure Continues: How this episode ends since it's the end of season 1. The Rangers regain their powers and go back to finding the Sporix, with their last scene morphing in response to a call Solon received. And then there's the shot of Void Knight's cracked helmet next to Santaura's pod in Area 62.
  • Badass Bystander: Dr. Akana knocks Void Knight in the head with a stick and throws a Dino Dagger which destroys the machine that was siphoning power from the Morphing Grid.
  • Badass Family: Dr. Akana and her son are the ones who help free the other rangers.
  • Big "NO!": Void Knight's final words before his presumed death.
  • Brought Down to Badass: After losing their powers, the Rangers are forced to fight Void Knight and the Hengemen with only their swords, blasters, and martial art skills. Void Knight mocks them for not having their powers, but they prevail.
  • …But He Sounds Handsome: When the Blue Ranger tries to talk his civilian self's mother out of risking herself because of how her son would worry, he can't help but add some compliments about himself. She even comments Ollie usually describes himself the same way.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Dr. Akana plays a prominent role in this episode as she actively helps the Rangers defeat Void Knight.
  • Depower: Due to Ollie being forced to destroy Dinohenge to stop Void Knight, the Rangers lose their ability to morph and are forced to fight against Void Knight and the Hengemen with only their sidearms. Fortunately, the Green Morphin Master comes at the end and restores both Dinohenge and their powers.
  • Did Not Think This Through: Ollie destroying the machine saved his friends... but also destroyed their link to the Morphing Grid, meaning that not only are all the Rangers demorphed, he has to demorph in front of his mother.
  • The End... Or Is It?: The final scene shows Santaura's pod in Area 62 and Void Knight's cracked helmet on the side.
  • Foreshadowing: Dr. Akana commenting on how the Blue Ranger described Ollie the same way Ollie describes himself foreshadows that she'll later learn the Rangers' identities.
  • Internal Reveal: Dr. Akana learning the identities of the Dino Fury rangers including Ollie's.
  • Mama Bear: Upon learning her son is a Power Ranger, Dr. Akana gives Void Knight what's basically a death threat.
Dr. Akana: If you hurt my son, I will hunt you down and obliterate you and everything you have ever loved!
  • Near-Villain Victory: Void Knight came so close to achieving his goal of reawakening Santaura and killing the majority of the Dino Fury Rangers, but then Ollie and his mother had to ruin it.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Had Void Knight thrown Dr. Akana anywhere that wasn't near that fallen Dino Dagger, he would've won.
  • Oh, Crap!: Ollie's reaction when he realizes what he just did (see above).
  • Refuse to Rescue the Disliked: When Zayto pulls Dr. Akana out of the dimension, Slyther and Mucus beg him to pull them out too, but he ignores them.
  • Shoo Out the Clowns: Quite literally as Reaghoul sends Mucus and Slyther away to the same dimension he sent Dr. Akana to, calling them annoying.
  • So Proud of You: Dr. Akana says this to Ollie after finding out he's a Power Ranger.
  • Spanner in the Works: Dr. Akana throws a monkey wrench, or rather Dino Dagger, to Void Knight's plans.
  • Throwing Your Sword Always Works: Dr. Akana throws a Dino Dagger at the machine as a distraction so Ollie can destroy it.
  • Trash the Set: In order to save the other Rangers, Ollie is forced to destroy Dinohenge, which ends up severing the Rangers' connection to the Morphin' Grid. It then gets a Cosmic Reset Button when the Green Morphin Master arrives to repair it.
