Recap / Power Rangers Dino Fury Episode Thirty Seven Morphin Master

Go To

The Dino Fury Rangers meet the Green Morphing Master, and learn she has broken their rule of non-interference as they race to stop Zedd from unleashing the Sporix.

Tropes:

  • All-Powerful Bystander: The Morphin' Masters, as Blue reveals, have been in hiding for the last several epochs because their enemies started hunting and killing them.
  • Beam-O-War: Master Green and Zedd. Zedd would've won if not for Aiyon getting in the way.
  • Big "NO!": Master Blue when Green sends the Rangers back to Rafkon.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Zedd is stopped, and Master Green spared by her fellow Masters admitting, yeah, they were in the wrong, but Rafkon is completely obliterated, meaning Zayto and Aiyon still have no idea what's become of their people.
  • Blood Knight: Void King admits a good brawl is the second thing he loves the most, with his wife being the first.
  • Call-Back: Master Green is responsible for sending Jason's Power Coin to Earth back in "Grid Connection", resurrecting Steel at the end of Beast Morphers, and bringing all the Rangers to the Legendary Battle.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Void King once against fights the entire Ranger team, and once again wins handily.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: The newest weapon Master Green gives the Rangers comes with the teeny-tiny drawback that if the user uses its ultimate technique to destroy their enemy, they'll be destroyed in turn.
  • Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: Solon is pretty narked at the Blue Morphin' Master turning her mushrooms to crystal, and tells him off for it.
  • Dirty Coward: Scrozzle legs it at the sign of the Rangers running threateningly towards him and Zedd. Meaning he once again escapes to hench another day.
  • Earth-Shattering Kaboom: As Zayto mentioned last episode, the Sporix Generator is connected to Rafkon. The minute it's removed, the whole planet goes up in smoke and flame.
  • Fanboy: Izzy interrupts the recap of Beast Morphers to mention she's a huge fan of Steel’s movies.
  • Greater-Scope Paragon: In addition to the aforementioned interventions in Beast Morphers and Megaforce, Green is heavily implied to have helped with plenty of other Ranger incidents over the years.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: Green insists she did everything she could simply to help past Ranger teams.
  • Lampshade Hanging:
    • When arguing on behalf of Green, Zayto says meeting her has made him realize that she had a hand in a number of occurrences when different teams got (at the time) unexplained last-minute help seemingly from nowhere.
    • When called out for siding with Zedd, Nulleye says he Signed Up for the Dental. Void King angrily responds that he doesn't even have teeth.
  • Oh, Crap!: Scrozzle when Zedd demands to know what's taking so long with the generator.
  • Prophecy Twist: As Green reveals, she said Aiyon would help stop Lord Zedd. She just never said he'd do so alone.
  • Put on a Bus to Hell: Red takes possession of the crystal containing Zedd, saying he will drop it off on a distant planet.
  • Quizzical Tilt: Master Green does this in response to the Rangers's antics.
  • Riddle for the Ages: After listing the various Call-Back items, Master Green admits there were a number of other occasions in which she covertly intervened to help various Rangers. What exactly she did and who she helped are left up to viewers to decide.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: Lord Zedd ends up stuck shrunk inside a crystal, thanks to Master Green.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: Master Green willingly ends up in the crystal, in order to take down Zedd. Upon realizing that she was right to intervene, though, Red and Blue free her from this fate.
  • Shoo Out the Clowns: One of the more serious episodes of Dino Fury. How serious? There's not only no Jane or J-Borg antics, there's no Mucus antics either.
  • Shout-Out: Ollie wonders if there are any "Rangers with crystal powers" out there, referencing Mashin Sentai Kiramager, the Sentai that was airing while Dino Fury was being produced.
  • Signed Up for the Dental: Nulleye's defense for siding with Zedd over the Void Family. Void King questions what good that does someone without teeth.
  • Superhero Paradox: Master Blue admits that the Masters did empower teams of Rangers in the past, but every time they did there seemed to be new evil springing up to fight them.
  • Villain Team-Up: Both Void King and Queen are none too happy with Zedd manipulating them, but a little sweeting talking from Zedd and the arrival of the Rangers mean they're willing to put any differences aside.
