Go back to the recap page.

Did you hear the rumor? What might be the most powerful Pokémon ever has been discovered in Kanto!

Green has begun her search for this elusive Pokémon...but she’s not the only one racing to catch it! Join the quest in the thrilling finale of Pokémon Evolutions!

The eighth and final episode of "Pokémon Evolutions", where three trainers look for the legendary Genetic Pokémon, Mewtwo.

Tropes in this Episode:

  • A Day in the Limelight: For the first time in franchise history, the formerly-unused third member of the original three Trainers, now called Greennote  has a primary starring role, and one she doesn't share with either of her male compatriots, who are mere cameos at the end, for a change.
  • And the Adventure Continues: As the trio of Trace, Elaine, and Green run off, Professor Oak gets a call about a new metallic Pokemon, showing the Pokédex is far from complete.
  • The Cameo: Red and Blue appear in the end-of-episode scenes.
  • Continuity Cavalcade: To Let's Go, Pikachu!, since Elaine has Pikachu at her side, and the main characters are based on the Let's Go, Pikachu!/Eevee! continuity.
  • Divergent Character Evolution: In the games, two of the Trainers on Nugget Bridge are Lasses, and thus share the same design. Here, one of the Lasses has a new design.
  • Lighter and Softer: Compared to the last seven episodes, which are all pretty serious or at least somewhat somber, this episode is much more lighthearted, with a lot of comedy coming from Green's antics.
  • Race Lift: Elaine is portrayed as brown-/tan-skinned, not unlike Victor in The Champion.
  • Series Finale: The final episode in Pokémon Evolutions.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Green attempts to catch the elusive Mewtwo, but Elaine ends up catching it first.
