The curtain rises on the Kimono Girls as they perform a tale of Johto’s Legendary Pokémon! Journey to Johto and discover secrets from this historic region in Pokémon Evolutions episode 7!

The seventh episode of "Pokémon Evolutions", where the audience is invited to see the history of the two towers that were once home to the Tower Duo, Ho-Oh and Lugia, and what happened that tragic day during a lightning storm.

Tropes in this Episode:

  • A Day in the Limelight: For the Kimono Girls.
  • The Cameo:
    • Ethan, the game's player character, only makes a minor cameo walking through the festival at the beginning.
    • The Ecruteak Gym Leader Morty is in the audience of the show with his Gengar.
  • Continuity Cavalcade: To SoulSilver, focusing on the Kimono Girls telling the story of Lugia and how it doused the fire of the Brass Tower (now the Burned Tower).
  • Mundane Utility: Various Pokemon are used for special effects here—some Grass and Bug-types provide shimmering rainbow lighting for Ho-Oh, a pair of Fearow act as mo-cap actors for the two legendary birds, and the Eeveelutions provide environmental effects (Umbreon summoning the image of the moon, Flareon producing fire, Espeon simulating a sunrise, etc.).
  • Ocular Gushers: Morty's Gengar does this at the end of the show. Morty hands him a tissue.
  • Signature Mon: The Eeveelutions are this for the Kimono Girls.
  • Yellow Lightning, Blue Lightning: Jolteon's part of the show represents the storm with this. Jolteon creates yellow lightning while a group of Magneton above the stage provide blue lightning as a backdrop.
  • You Just Ruined the Shot: Narrowly avoided when a Totodile in the show's audience tries to douse the "fire" Flareon made onstage, not realizing that it was meant to be a harmless special effect. Its trainer stops it, but gets himself splashed in the process.
