Go To

"Episode two strikes at not one, but two toys from the Star Wars Transformers brand. From the first wave, the Luke Skywalker X-Wing, to the newest, Luke Snowspeeder. Which is better (worse) and did they get better with experience? (No)"

Release: January 13, 2008

Tropes:

  • Early-Installment Weirdness: This is so far the only episode where TJ reviews two separately released action figures for one Plastic Addict. On his old website, he stated he wished he'd done separate reviews so as to give each toy a proper thrashing.
  • Fridge Logic: In-Universe. As cool as the concept is, TJ questions why (within the fictional realm of Star Wars: Transformers) the pilots would take the time to make the mech modes look like themselves.
  • Hypocritical Humour: His intro speech accompanies a sequence of him getting angry at a recent purchase:
TJ: "As a collector, it's pretty common to find yourself eagerly anticipating your next purchase. But sometimes, no matter how good it looked when you first heard about it, when you finally have it, it just doesn't fit. Times likes these, you really have to take it in stride. Don't let it get the best of you. Handle it with dignity, and move on with your life."'
