Lincoln has brought Lisa, Luan, Lynn, and Lori with him and they'll be reading All's Fair in Pranks and War by an author who's apparently been given "a lot of buzz" lately— TheMaximumMatt.
We open on story Lincoln with a lot of money he made with Clyde. On the couch, Luan and Lynn start teasing each other and Lincoln by suggesting undignified ways they could've made that money. Then, back in the fanfic, Lynn enters, in a huff. Lincoln asks what's wrong, but Lynn doesn't want to talk about it. She reluctantly opens up and it's revealed that she was laughed at during a game for having sat on a bar of chocolate.
She suspects Lincoln, but he swears he didn't do it. Enter Luan who jokes about it. Lynn suspects that Luan did it on purpose as a prank and swears revenge (even though Lincoln in the fanfic doesn't want Lynn to be violent, and the real Louds point out that Luan had no way of knowing which seat Lynn would take). Fanfic Lynn decides to prank Luan back.
The next morning, fanfic Luan has her hand stuck to her face. The real Luan makes a joke about the Scream painting but the only one who gets it is Lisa, who doesn't laugh. Everyone laughs at fanfic Luan, thinking it's one of her pranks, even Luna who tried to pull the hand off and found it was really stuck. Lynn comes in and reveals that she did it, making a hand pun that Luan (the real one) chastises for being too easy and starts listing phrases with "hand" in them to prove it.
This starts a prank war. Fanfic Luan makes Lynn's food very spicy and she drinks all the liquid to cool down, ending in drinking out of Charles's bowl (after finding that the sink and the hose weren't working). Everyone laughs at Fic!Lynn and calls her a dog. So fanfic Lynn buries Luan's clothes. Luan borrows Luna's... dress? And everyone laughs at her.
Fanfic Luan pies Lynn in the face, Lynn glues Luan to the floor, Luan makes Lynn walk into a deep puddle (that Lincoln somehow walked over). Lynn makes the toilet spray tar on Luan, Luan booby-traps the fridge with a boxing glove, Lynn pranks Luan with a mousetrap, so Luan pranks Lynn with lots of mousetraps. Finally, Luan does a third fridge prank involving three boxing gloves.
The next prank, however, ends up with Lincoln being pepper-sprayed instead of Luan. Then, he goes to the sink and gets sprayed with paint (meant for Lynn). Lucy has also bumped her head from one of the warring sisters waxing the stairs and Luna has been electrocuted from her door. It turns out that that wasn't the only collateral damage: Leni had been stuck to the ceiling with flypaper and a spring-loaded floor board, Lola had been smoke-bombed, Lori had had syrup and feathers dumped on her, and Lana had fallen through the floor into a pit of poison ivy.
They decide to put a stop to the war but it's out of control and the parents are too scared to help. The fanfic siblings smoke-bomb Luan and Lynn and tie them to chairs. They argue, then Lincoln brings them to their senses. They start arguing again and it's revealed that Luan didn't put the chocolate on Lynn's seat, so they both apologise and are made to clean up.
Then, it's revealed that it was actually Lincoln who dropped the candy bar, and he earned the money selling chocolate with Clyde. It ends with Lincoln being flung up to the ceiling next to Leni and them both falling down.
With the story over, Lisa is glad that there were no tense changes, and everyone else thinks that it's actually a decent story.

- Death Glare: Fanfic Lynn gives Luan a "threatening glare" for joking about the situation with the chocolate.
- Eye Scream: Fanfic Lincoln gets pepper-sprayed (the actual target was Luan).
- Flashback: We get one flashback showing fanfic Lynn sitting on chocolate, another showing the fanfic Louds getting hit by pranks, and a third showing how it was fanfic Lincoln who dropped the chocolate Lynn sat on.
- Imagine Spot: The Louds briefly imagine Lucy as a bodybuilder when wondering how fanfic Lynn got Luan's clothes out of the house without seeing, because Lucy is sneaky enough to do it but not strong enough.
- Inexplicably Awesome: Fanfic Lincoln somehow walks over the puddle without sinking.
- "It" Is Dehumanizing: Luan complains that her fanfic counterpart is referred to as "it" at one point. Lincoln jokes that it must be because she's a clown, only for Luan to protest that she's not that type of clown.
- Narrative Profanity Filter: Luan "mutters profanities" to herself after Lynn decides she's the master of comedy since the only time fanfic Luan's family found her funny was because of something fanfic Lynn did.
- Neologism: Luan coins the word "pie-zooka" to refer to a bazooka that shoots pies.
- Noodle Incident: Apparently, on the Louds' first trip to Pop-Pop's cabin, Lynn did something that proved she can hold in her poop. This isn't revealed to the audience because a grossed-out Lori interrupted.
- Out of Character:
- The real Lynn probably wouldn't be bothered by a sub with lots of hot sauce.
- Fanfic Luna doesn't seem to grasp the fact that Luan's hand is stuck even though she tried pulling it off and it didn't work. She also apparently wears a dress instead of a skirt and tank top.
- A minor one, but apparently, fanfic Luan is above poop pranks. The real Luan isn't, as shown in "April Fools Rules."
- Pie in the Face:
- One of the pranks was fanfic Lynn getting a pie in the face from the fridge.
- Fanfic Lynn fires pies with a bazooka.
- Potty Failure: Subverted. It appears as though fanfic Lynn has pooped her pants, but really she'd sat on a chocolate bar.
- Pun:
- Fanfic Luan says to Lynn about the chocolate bar, "You must've been a choco-lot to take in!", "Turn that brown upside-down", and "I guess I'll see you guys choco-later!".
- When fanfic Lynn glues Luan's hand to her face, she says, "I gotta hand it to ya!". Luan (the real one) critiques this because apparently hand puns are too easy.
- Fanfic Luan says, "Water you doing?" when she finds Lynn drinking from Charles's bowl.
- When the fanfic versions of Luna and Lucy smoke-bomb Luan, the real Luan says that they were "blowing smoke".
- Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: At one point, Lisa says, "QUESTIONS. END. IN. QUESTION. MARKS."
- Pushover Parents: Rather than do anything to stop the prank war, fanfic Lynn Sr. and Rita get too scared of it to help.
- Rouge Angles of Satin: The narration at one point says, "being" instead of "begin". Lisa notes that it's odd to have an anagram as a typo.
- Rule of Three: Fanfic Luan pranks Lynn with the fridge three times, and the third one had three boxing gloves hit Lynn. The real Luan approves of this.
- Running Gag: Lisa saying, "Questions end in question marks," with increasing frustration when the fanfic ends a question with a period. It gets to the point that she grabs a bullhorn just to vent her irritation.
- Serial Escalation:
- Discussed by name when Luan states her approval of a gag where fanfic Lynn is pranked at the fridge, which culminates in her being hit by a boxing glove from a can of soda.
- Lisa continuously gets more annoyed as the fanfic forgets to end questions with question marks, to the point that she's screaming through a bullhorn by the end.
- Shout-Out:
- When fanfic Lola calls Luan an "it", Lincoln (the real one) suggests that it's because she's a clown.
- One of Luan's examples of a "hand" phrase is "I am not left-handed", which is a line from The Princess Bride.
- Staircase Tumble: Several of the fanfic Louds fall downstairs after one of the warring sisters waxed them.
- Tempting Fate: When fanfic Lincoln drops the chocolate during the flashback, he says, "What could go wrong?".
- Toilet Humour: Fanfic Lynn sits on a chocolate bar to make it look like she's pooped her pants. The real Lynn boasts about how she has an "iron sphincter" and would never poop her pants.
- Whoopee Cushion: Apparently, the warring sisters used whoopee cushion mines.
