In the First Realm, the Iron Baron takes the Ninja to hunt dragons, while, in Ninjago, the Resistance plans to make a broadcast.
- Anti-Magic: Heavy Metal has a sword which absorbs spinjitzu powers.
- Combo Platter Powers: Turns out Skylor can also mix and match the powers she absorbs, allowing her to momentarily hide the Resistance from Garmadon.
- Do Not Adjust Your Set: The Resistance hijacks Ultra-Violet's broadcast to get their message out to the people of Ninjago.
- Heroic RRoD: The strain of hiding everyone from Garmadon causes Skylor to collapse after he's gone.
- He's Back!: As the episode begins, Kai, Zane and Jay are facing down the Iron Baron's goons, and Jay finally starts complaining about everything.
- Jedi Mind Trick: Neuro uses his powers to persuade Killow to go sing karaoke, taking two more Sons with him.
- Shout-Out: As they hurry off to karaoke, Killow and the Sons sing a tune to the tune of "We're Off to See the Wizard".
- Spotting the Thread: Despite the Resistance getting out before the Sons can bust down the door, Harumi still spots their garbage trucks getting away and realizes what it means.
- Tickle Torture: The Ninja are forced to activate their powers and attract dragons. This being a children's show, the torture devices they are attached to do this, rather than cause any real harm.
- Voice of the Resistance: Having broken into the NGTV building, the Resistance has Lloyd make a speech on air in order to reassure and rally the people against Emperor Garmadon's regime.
