The three groups are close to finding their Dragon Cores, but there are complications.
Tropes:
- Beware the Nice Ones: While the Mucoids are very kind to those who are kind to them, if one dares cross them such as try to steal their sacred Dragon Core, it's instant grounds for execution.
- Cliffhanger: At the episode's end, Nya and Sora are face to face with a giant stone golem, they hear a familar voice coming from them, aware of Nya using Spinjitzu... As Nya quickly realizes they're face to face with Cole.
- Deliberate Values Dissonance: To Lloyd, the "Impossible Path" the Mucoids warn is absolute certain death is pretty much problemless for him. Turns out the Impossible Path is full of salt, which is dangerous if not lethal to the snail-like Mucoids.
- Magic Compass: Arrakore grants Nya and Sora one of these to help them find their Dragon Core.
- Mêlée à Trois: Kai and Wyldfyre end up in one against both Dorama and his forces, and the Lava-tides, to claim the Dragon Core.
- Never Say "Die": Pretty much everyone steps around the term "killed" while discussing Rapton's potential fate to the Mucoids. And then Zant-Tanz exaggerates it by going all in on any term other than directly:Zant-Tanz: Anyone who dare traverse the path will, with near complete and utter certainty, be destroyed. Obliterated. Pass away. Cease to be among the living-
Arin: I think we get it. - Save the Villain: Lloyd spends most of the episode trying to save Rapton, who was captured by the Mucoids and slated for execution earlier on.
- Secret Test of Character: The Mucoids have a test set up for those who seek out the Dragon Core, which they left out in the open: Simply ask for it. If you try to steal it though, may they have mercy on you, as poor Rapton nearly found out.
