"Mars Landing" is the 20th episode of New Girl's third season.
After a game of True American leaves them hungover, Nick and Jess evaluate their relationship. Meanwhile, Schmidt, Winston, and Coach try to help their new neighbors move in.
Tropes in this episode:
- Hangover Sensitivity: After a hardcore game of True American, Jess and Nick wake up extremely hungover. They're sensitive to sunlight and freak out at the sound of a phone call. To make it worse, they're slated to go to a one-year-old's birthday party.
- Literally Loving Thy Neighbor: The guys' subplot. Two beautiful young women are moving in, so Schmidt, Winston, and Coach help them move in the hopes of getting in their pants.
- Title Drop: The title comes from Nick, who is convinced the government will set up shop on Mars and name a city "Mars Landing".
- What Beautiful Eyes!: Played for Laughs. Winston points out that Michelle, whom he is very attracted to, has "witchy eyes". She's a little rattled by this comment.
