- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Getaway is revealed to be one of the most vile characters the crew has ever encountered after being introduced as a friend during "Remain In Light".
- Continuity Nod:
- "Visages" is still deserted after Megatron's poetry slam.
- Swerve thanks Cyclonus for the "Swearth" debacle.
- Getaway plots for Tailgate to be killed by Megatron by provoking his fear of mnemosurgery.
- Despite being accepted as a member of the crew back in "Remain In Light", the Autobots of the Lost Light are a bit too eager to hunt down Cyclonus for a perceived misdeed.
- Kick the Dog: Every. Single. Thing. Out of Getaway's mouth is this when it comes to Tailgate and pretty much anyone.
- He has been pretending to have fallen in love with Tailgate since the beginning, manipulating him to basically say their wedding vows by trying to wipe Megatron's memory and almost certainly getting himself killed.
- He mocks Whirl's mental illness and wipes his memory soon after the ex-Wrecker has second thoughts.
- He has been plotting to get Megatron exiled or killed since the beginning.
- Love Revelation Epiphany: Tailgate appears to realize that he loves Cyclonus as the old 'bot tries to save him from the wrath of the crew, proving his genuine love for him as opposed to Getaway's backhanded compliments and manipulations.
- Ship Tease: Cyclonus is strongly implied to have fallen in love with Tailgate, and Tailgate himself seems to realize it too when he reflects that they've basically done all of the steps of the Conjunx Ritus.
- Wham Episode: Getaway's true nature is finally revealed, Cyclonus and Tailgate seem to realize that they've fallen in love, and Cyclonus suffers a Near-Death Experience. Also, something is very wrong with Tailgate at the end of the issue...
