Air date: April 25, 2020 (CBC); March 22, 2021 (PBS)note

"Puppy Palooza": Tooey learns his dog Cali is pregnant, and he must prepare to welcome, raise and train the puppies.

"Puppy Palooza" contains the following tropes:

  • Big "NO!": Tooey when he gets his boots stuck in the mud.
  • Discontinuity Nod: Molly gets to name the puppies. She considers naming one after the famous Siberian husky Togo, which is a sharp contrast to "Welcome Home, Balto," which recognized Balto rather than Togo as the hero of the 1925 Serum Run.
  • Extra-Long Episode: The episode is divided into two parts. The first is about learning Cali is expecting puppies, while the second is about Tooey's struggle to pick a future lead dog from among the puppies.
  • Formally-Named Pet: Mr. Patak has a canary named Mr. Peabody. Mr. Rowley used to have a lead sled dog named Lord Pinklefloss. And the full name of Trini's new puppy is Lord Four-Spots of Cuddledonia.
  • Hidden Depths: Mr. Rowley is a retired musher with a lot of experience in training sled dogs. He tells Tooey the four most desirable traits in a potential lead dog.
  • Letting the Air out of the Band: The music swells as Molly and her dad rush to the truck to make it to the Ookami's kennel. But it dies again as Walter throws the truck into reverse and gets the tires stuck in the mud.
  • Meaningful Name: Molly names Tooey's new lead dog Kih Dhidii, meaning "first one."
  • Mucking in the Mud: Tooey hates mud season. Walter's sick of it too.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: Trini while watching the puppies.
Trini: I. Can't. Handle. The. Cuteness!
  • Raiders of the Lost Parody: Molly and Trini are in the middle of acting out their own Indiana Jones type game when Tooey interrupts them to remind them they've got a path through the mud to help him build.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Tooey wants to prove himself to his dad by picking a new lead dog from among the puppies.
