Title: Crossing Ian
Release date: April 20, 2012

  • Big "NO!": Ian gives one when his bodyguard, Diego Sanchez, dies.
  • The Darkness Before Death: After Diego takes a bullet for Ian, he says that everything is going dark before dying, though Ian believes it's just because he's wearing sunglasses.
  • Election Day Episode: The episode focuses on Ian running against an unnamed female character for mayor of Minilife to ensure citizens have the right of way when crossing streets.
  • The Nameless: The woman Ian campaigns against has no other name than "Girl". Ian exploits this to justify he's clearly more important, and thus should be the mayor.
  • No Sympathy: After Ian says his first act as mayor will be to create a statue in honor of Diego Sanchez, the bodyguard who sacrificed himself to save Ian from an assassin, the unnamed female character says that Ian's just using Diego to cover up his contradictory campaign goals and points out that it was Diego's job to risk his life to save Ian. Ian says that the unnamed female character is slandering the city by slandering Diego and the audience votes for Ian instead of her.
  • Special Guest: David M. Pickett of The Nightly News at Nine guest stars as the voice of Phil Brickley.
  • Spinning Paper: Done twice; first when Ian decides to run for mayor, and second when he wins the election. Lampshaded by one paper with the headline "Recent Poll Declares Spinning Newspaper Gag Still Trendy".
  • Taking the Bullet: Diego saves Ian's life by taking a bullet from an assassin for him.
