- Jedi Mind Trick: When Newbie asks to see James's identification about his helmet, Alec convinces him that he doesn't need to see his identification, he can keep his helmet on, and they get a half-off discount.
- Magic Countdown: Parodied. Chris and Ian pay for a 30-minute duel, but it ends after 2 minutes. When they go to complain to Newbie, he explains that the duels run on Hollywood time, which they think is a ripoff.
- Mid-Battle Tea Break: Chris and Ian's Starsaber duel is interrupted twice; first when Ian makes a comment that makes them crack up laughing, and second when Ian accidentally makes Chris's arm come off and they have a timeout to reattach it.
- Mythology Gag: The show Ian watches on the TV is Terry Serpent's Swimming Spectacle from Chris Salaises' old YouTube channel, chris14S.
- You Wanna Get Sued?: When Chris asks Ian if he wants to have a Starsaber duel, Ian asks if he means lightsabers. Chris responds saying the line word-for-word.
