Dr. Doofenshmirtz's daughter Vanessa notes that he spends too much time alone, and with him still mad at Perry, she suggests finding a new adventure buddy, as her dad puts it. After looking for Diogee (as he promised Brigette to watch him), Doofenshmirtz ends up in the sewers past the subway, and finds a new adventure buddy in Scott the Undergrounder, who is about to sail through the sewers in his adventure boat.
Tropes:
- Call-Back: Milo and Zack's handshake is the same one they used in "Milo Murphy's Halloween Scream-A-Torium!"
- Hypocritical Humor: Doof notices that Scott spends way more time with his milk carton girlfriend Mildred, than with the only other actual person on the boat. He tries to get back at him by making a girlfriend of his own out of a mop, which he introduces to Scott as "Stephanie". Scott points out that's just a mop.
- Mr. Imagination: Doof learns a neat trick from Scott to see everything in a, er, "new" light: squint your eyes, and everything looks old-timey.
- Shout-Out: After Doof confesses that he feels like a Third Wheel around Scott and Mildred, Scott denies that and describes him and Mildred as a bicycle and Doof as a unicycle that goes around in circles while juggling. This is the same analogy Candace uses to describe herself, Jeremy and Stacy, when Stacy had the same complaint in "The Baljeatles".
