Recap / Milo Murphy's Law S2E15 "Spy Little Sister!"

Go To

Melissa has been signed up in a mentoring program, but gets herself into a mission with Savannah instead, to stop a rogue robot from destroying the school during a science fair.

Tropes:

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: The entire purpose of Doofenshmirtz's old Turn-Inanimate-Objects-Evil-Inator bulb is to apply this trope to any machine it attaches itself to.
  • The Assimilator: After getting the Turn-Inanimate-Objects-Evil-Inator plugged into it, the rogue robot gains the ability to absorb other machines and steal their parts.
  • Brain Bleach: When first confronting Doof at the Murphy home, Savannah barges in on him by smashing down the locked bathroom door as he's clipping his toenails inside the bathroom. This leaves Doof extremely embarrassed, and a shocked Savannah decides to travel 15 minutes into the future as a result while claiming that she will never 'unsee' what she saw, feeling extremely guilty for invading Doof's privacy in the first place.
  • But for Me, It Was Tuesday: Even if Savannah did recognize Melissa from their last encounter, she wouldn't say, as everything she does is classified.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Amanda shows frustration and jealousy when Joni of all people has a moment with Milo. She can be seen shaking Joni while proclaiming Milo is "hers".
  • Ma'am Shock: Savannah gets sulky when a boy at the robot competition calls her "Ma'am." Unfortunately, this leads to her phone making contact with the Turn-Inanimate-Objects-Evil-Inator bulb and going berserk.
  • Sarcasm Mode: Zack whenever he describes Melissa as a "delicate flower".
  • Sure, Let's Go with That: When Mr. Block sees Melissa with Savannah, he assumes the latter finally agreed to help with the bureau's mentoring program and says it'll look good in her report, prompting Savannah to play along with his assumption.
  • Trauma Button: Poor Brick has a series flashbacks to being forgotten when he was younger when Savannah leaves him behind.
