Original Airdate: February 21, 2021

Summary:

After the Kiramagers (with the exception of Juru) come back after rescuing the King, Emperor Yodon goes to Earth to get the rest of the Kanaema stones, Tametomo has a plan to stop the Yodon Emperor by sealing him using the Stones they have in possession.

Tropes:

  • Bait-and-Switch: After Galza's death, Carantula appears to have lost all hope and have second thoughts about defecting from Yodonheim, stating that no one who has defied the Emperor has lived to tell the tale. Later in the episode, it was revealed he actually planned to be the first to achieve this, stealing Illusia and delivering it to the Kiramagers.
  • Chekhov's Boomerang: The fact that Crystalian royals can project their consciousness comes up again. This time, Galza uses it to project his dying self into Smog Jouki and using it to save Juru, though it doesn't last long as his soul eventually fades away.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Try as they might, Emperor Yodon proves to be a formidable match for the team and then some, demolishing them left and right no matter what tactics they try against him.
  • Darkest Hour: Juru's essentially dead to the team as they know it and Yodon is coming for them, intent on getting his hands on the rest of the Kanaema Stones. Not to mention, they have another team member down due to Takamichi's injuries from the previous episode.
  • Foreshadowing: Yodonna's mask on Yodon Emperor's head is still intact even after he's "killed" her, suggesting that she's still surviving somehow.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: It's revealed near the end of the episode that Galza transferred his soul into Jouki while he was dying to save Juru, entrusting Jouki in his hands to save the Earth.
  • Hoist by Their Own Petard: Emperor Yodon orders Yodonna to leave Illusia in Yodonheim as he feels it would be safe from the Kiramagers. He didn't count on the fact that Carantula, and subsequently Juru himself, were still in Yodonheim, figuring out he would leave the Kanaema Stone behind and shortly stealing it from right under his nose.
  • Ironic Echo: Used very painfully against Yodonna when she gets killed by Yodon.
Yodonna: (in tears) This is where I should cry, right...?
Emperor Yodon: On the contrary, this is the perfect moment to laugh! For you are dying in service to me!
    Yodonna: I don't think... I... can...
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: To the 1985 film Let Him Rest In Peace (友よ、静かに瞑れ/Tomo yo, Shizuka ni Nemure).
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: This was a part of Tametomo's plan, as he thought he would be able to seal Yodon with the Kanaema Stones by first turning him back into when he was Yodonna using Reversia, then using Energia to boost King Oradin's power so he could seal her, and then destroy him with Destoria while he was sealed. But you know what they say about battle plans and enemies...
  • Spanner in the Works: Twice, once each for the Yodon Emperor and the Kiramagers.
    • The Kiramagers' plan to defeat the Emperor almost goes off without a hitch, but they failed to account for Yodon willing to sacrifice Yodonna, allowing him to break free.
    • In turn, the Yodon Emperor had our heroes on the ropes, but he failed to account for Galza using the last of his power to save Juuru, who in turn saves Carantula and secures possession of Illusia.
  • Title-Only Opening: To avoid Mood Whiplash, as Juuru is believed to have been killed.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: After Yodonna gets sealed by Oradin through Energia after being reverted by Reversia, Yodon decides to kill her to break the seal, seeing no use for her form. This leaves the poor villainess in tears.
