Tropes:

  • And Then What?: Mabushina attempts this on Galza, the latter having become the new Emperor of Yodonheim. He readily answers that upon his conquest of Earth, he will shape everything to his liking.
  • Cliffhanger: This episode ends on another one. King Oradin was saved, however Galza was killed by Emperor Yodon, Juru falls into a trench in Yodonheim, and Emperor Yodon proceeds to conquer Earth personally, now with the knowledge of the Kanaema Stones at hand.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Yodon easily kills Galza after disposing of him when he tries to go after him.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Galza finds out through his deep-seated memories that he never actually hated his brother in the past, which leads him to regret why he ever turned his back on him. What's worse is that Yodon reveals that Galza was brainwashed the entire time from his childhood, leading to the realization that his hate towards Crystalia was based on a lie. He does not take it well and tries to go after Yodon, only to die soon afterwards.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Juru trying to convince Lord Galza that he can restore Crystalia and mend his relationship with Oradin by wishing through the Kanaema Stones was crucial infomation for Emperor Yodon, who turned out to be laying dormant inside Lord Galza all along. He immediately revives and removes Galza in order to set up a new plan with this new piece of information.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: To the 1982 film The Last Hero (汚れた英雄/Yogoreta Eiyū, "The Dirty Hero").
  • Redemption Equals Death: Galza attempts an attack on Emperor Yodon after learning the truth of his childhood and his desire to atone for everything that he's done, however Emperor Yodon easily makes short work of him before killing him.
  • The Reveal: Despite it being a ruse to trick Mabushina back in episode 4, it turns out Galza was indeed brainwashed by Emperor Yodon with a Hate Plague much earlier on in his childhood, while making him forget the events that led to his corruption. Galza did not take it well after learning of this.
