Recap / Martha Speaks S 6 E 8 Marthas Paper Chase

Go To

Martha and Carolina are trying to sell copies of the Carolina Town Crier, but Ronald and Reginald's newspaper, the Ronald Report, is proving much more popular. Carolina asks Martha and Skits to find a juicy story or else she'll quit making the Town Crier, so they head off.

They ask T.D., but all he says is his pumpkin may have grown. Then, the dogs follow Weaselgraft and Pablum into the woods. They see them picking flowers and wonder if they're using them to mind control people, but they're just looking for a birthday present for Weaselgraft's mother. Then, they run into Big Minnie and photograph her, but she forbids them from publishing a story about her or showing the photo because of privacy.

They tell Carolina, who decides to publish the Big Minnie story as long as she changes her name and doesn't say where she lives, but Martha is unsure. Ronald and Reginald, who overheard Martha talking about Big Minnie, spy on Carolina and decide to publish the Big Minnie story instead, since they don't care about respecting a monster's privacy.

Carolina has a nightmare where everyone finds out who Big Minnie is in spite of changing her name and not specifying, making Big Minnie mad, so she decides not to publish the story after all. She then notices that the boys have published their story about Big Minnie, so, to protect her privacy, Carolina, Martha, her dog friends, and the zoo giraffe Gia steal all the copies of the paper away.

Ronald and Reginald call the actual news people and invite them over to Dog Head Lake, but Big Minnie is nowhere in sight since she's moved to the other side of the lake. She then gives Martha and Skits a recipe to publish, but online so as not to waste paper.
