"The Camping Show" (a.k.a. "A Period Piece") is an episode in the third season of Married... with Children.
Al plans to have a guys-only fishing trip with Bud and Steve, only for the plan to derail after Steve invites Marcy, who invites Peg and Kelly in turn, for the trip. Things get worse for the guys when all three women have their periods withal, and worse still when the women's pheromones attract wildlife, which includes a bear.
Tropes in this episode:
- Accidental Misnaming: Al refers to Kelly as "Nancy" early in the episode, prompting Peg to correct him.
- All Periods Are PMS: The women's periods are portrayed with symptoms of PMS.
- Bears Are Bad News: A bear is among the wildlife that gets attracted to the women's pheromones, and Al ends up having to escape from one late in the episode during his venture outside the cabin into the woods.
- Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: The women's complaints about the temperature inside the cabin where everyone is staying for the fishing trip while they're undergoing their periods are worded this way.Marcy: It's cold in here!Peg: It's hot in here.Kelly: It's hot and cold in here.
- Groin Attack: Bud's "attempt" to say something "nice" to Kelly while she has her period ends with a punch that leaves Bud holding his belly in pain, before speaking with an unnaturally high-pitched voice.
- Waxing Lyrical: When Steve tries to talk to Marcy while she's under the effect of her period, she responds by telling him the things he did that she didn't like, before telling him that the things about him she didn't like include "every breath you take, every move you make".
