Recap / Little Princess S 1 E 7 I Cant Remember

Go To

The episode begins with the Princess hiding under the covers. It turns out that she's playing hide and seek with Scruff. He finds her, she starts to count, and he hides behind the curtain, but the Princess gets distracted because she found her lost kite.

Forgetting all about the game, she goes downstairs with the kite to find the Chef, General, and Prime Minister playing a Twister-like game. She asks if she can join in, and the Chef says yes. She wins, and the General and Prime Minister claim she deserves a medal. The Princess notices the Prime Minister is wearing one and asks if she can borrow it. The two men are dubious because the medal is precious, and the Prime Minister suggests she wear the General's bearskin instead, but he isn't totally on board with that. The Princess suggests wearing both, and the men reluctantly let her wear them.

She goes off, forgetting about the kite, so the General and Prime Minister walk off to fly it. The Princess then has fun pretending to be the General and treating her toys like soldiers. She looks out the window (taking off the Prime Minister's medal and laying it on the windowsill) and sees the real General and the Prime Minister flying her kite, reminding her that she planned to fly it.

She runs outside, and the Prime Minister's medal falls off the windowsill but thankfully doesn't break. Outside, she gets distracted again by the King bouncing on a space hopper, and asks to join in. He says yes, and they have a race. The General's bearskin falls off the Princess's head and lands on Puss, and the King wins the race because the Princess saw the kite and got distracted again.

She hops over to the General and Prime Minister, who explain that they know the kite is hers but didn't think she'd mind. They then notice that she's no longer wearing their items. She can't remember where they are, but promises to find them.

The Princess searches her bedroom for the items, but can't find them, making her cry. The narrator tries to be helpful and asks where she saw them last, but the Princess unfortunately cannot remember. He suggests she mull it over for awhile, and she realises that she last saw the medal when she saw her kite at the window, thus finding it.

She then returns it to the napping Prime Minister, then goes outside to look for the General's bearskin. She remembers racing to the sandpit and looks, but it isn't there. She finds it in a bush nearby, though, and Puss is sleeping in it. She returns it to the General.

That night, the Princess retrieves Gilbert from under her bed, and then finally remembers the game of hide and seek she had with Scruff at the beginning. She searches for him, then finds him behind the curtain, so she takes the bedding off her bed and falls asleep next to him in the hallway.
