Recap / Lazy Town S 1 E 26 Lazy Towns New Superhero

Go To

In a two-part episode, the citizens of LazyTown feel Sportacus deserves a vacation after all the times he's helped out, and won't take no for an answer. Stephanie becomes Sportastephanie to fill in for him, while Sportacus isn't even sure how to take a vacation at first.

After an initial case of writer's block, Robbie Rotten constructs his most devious (and adorable) invention yet—a robot dog that attacks at the word "trouble." When it attacks the townspeople and even Robbie himself, Sportacus's vacation may be shorter than he planned!

This episode contains examples of:

  • Hero's First Rescue: Played with as Sportastephanie jumps to rescue what she thought was a kitty stuck in the bushes, when it actually was her uncle's feather duster.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Robbie's robot dog attacks him when he says the world "trouble" and at the end of the episode, steals Robbie's armchair while forcing Robbie to sleep in his doghouse.
  • Kid Hero: Stephanie becomes this while Sportacus is on vacation, taking the alias "Sportastephanie" and wearing a pink Sportacus costume sans the hat, goggles and crystal.
  • Right-Hand Attack Dog: Robbie builds a robot dog to attack Sportacus, exploiting his "Someone's in trouble" catchphrase.
  • Robot Dog
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Robbie tries to leave Sportacus trapped at the top of his advertising sing after being saved from him.
