Go To

Written By Brian Fagan

Directed By Constantine Makris

A man (Michelangelo Milano) is attacked and hospitalized by an intruder (Devin Ratray) dressed only in his underwear after finding his girlfriend (Taryn Manning) unconscious and tied to a chair in her apartment. Further investigation reveals said girlfriend is infamous on the internet as a former child porn actor (Peyton List) and that her and her boyfriend's assailant was a crazed former fan.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Asshole Victim:
    • Larissa's rapist is beaten to death by his fellow inmates after bragging about his crimes. The only negative anyone sees is that he can't testify against Underwood.
    • Larissa shoots Orville Underwood dead after learning that he is still raping young girls. Since she did this while he was in the process of raping another girl, she isn't arrested.
  • Big Damn Heroes:
    • Larissa's boyfriend prevents her from being raped at the start of the episode. He gets beaten up for it, but his presence spooks the rapist into fleeing.
    • Larissa later saves another little girl from being raped by Orville Underwood.
  • Dirty Old Man: Orville Underwood, who raped Larissa when she was little and created the "Brandy" videos.
  • The Dog Bites Back: When Larissa learned that her original rapist was still hurting children, she went to his house with intent to shoot him, and found him in the process of raping another little girl.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Larissa's attacker is ultimately mauled to death by his cellmates after he bragged about his misdeeds. Truth in Television, by the way: pedophiles and child-killers do not tend to last long in prison.
  • Evil Old Folks: Orville Underwood, played by David Patrick Kelly, is a lifelong Serial Rapist.
  • Fat Bastard: Larissa's rapist is fat and gross.
  • Hard Head: Larissa's boyfriend got knocked out in the process of rescuing her. He tells the detectives afterwards that he has three older brothers and knocks on the head are not a new experience for him.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Upon discovering Eldon Balogh had just raped an unconscious Larissa, Elliot lunges at the former and nearly beats him to death before being pulled away by Fin.
  • "Not If They Enjoyed It" Rationalization: Larissa's rapist claims it wasn't rape he inflicted on his victim, that it was love.
  • Parental Neglect: Larissa's foster parents didn't report her missing when she disappeared; it's never stated exactly how long she was gone, but based on the way she talks about it, it seems like it had to be weeks at least.
  • Rape as Backstory: Larissa reveals to Benson that she was kidnapped by a child pornography ring.
  • Rape as Drama: Larissa is found tied up and gagged to a chair, unconscious, stuffed with pills, shaved from the neck down of her body hair and sporting underwear reading "Brandy".
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Larissa's rapist is beaten to death by his fellow inmates after bragging about his crimes. Truth in Television, as rapists (especially those who assaulted children) are the lowest in the prison totem pole.
  • Special Guest: Taryn Manning as rape/kidnapping victim Larissa/Brandy. Disney stars Sabrina Carpenter (from Girl Meets World) and Peyton List (from Jessie and Cobra Kai) also appear in this episode.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Larissa's rapist.
  • Time-Shifted Actor: Larissa Welsh is played by Taryn Manning in the present but by Peyton List in her childhood photos and videos. Same case with Daniel Brooks, who's played by Brian Justin Crum in the present and an unnamed actor in his youth.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Larissa's rapist is described as "not the sharpest knife in the drawer". It culminates when he brags about his crimes while in prison and gets killed.
  • You're Insane!: Stabler's opinion of Eldon when he's confronted and says this verbatim. Given his disturbing behavior, he's not wrong.
  • Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Larissa vomits after coming face to face with Underwood again.
