Tropes:

  • Big Damn Heroes: Peggy. After she gets a job in a call center for Alamo Beer, Peggy discovers that the executives decided to stop shipment of to local stores because some cleaning solution made into the production line to reduce the possibility of a P.R. disaster and an expensive product recall until a new batch is brewed, but gave the order to export the tainted beer to an unknowing public in Mexico under the guise of "testing the market" in order to still make a profit from it. After the executives made it clear that that they are not going to do anything about people getting sick from their contaminated beer, Peggy gets some of the left over tainted beers Hank got from Mexico, sneaks them into the company's boardroom and replaces the fresh-off-the-line beers laid out for the executives with them, tricking the executives into thinking that another contaminated batch got into the local marketplace, and thus forcing them to publicly announce a complete recall of Alamo Beer in both the U.S. and Mexico and issue an apology to both markets.
  • Broken Pedestal: Alamo Beer, to Hank who felt betrayed for what they've done.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: When Alamo Beer halts shipment of beer to local stores, but continues exporting it to Mexico, Peggy finds out that it's because cleaning chemicals got into a batch of beer, and halted the sale in the U.S. until a new batch is brewed, but decided to make some cash from the contaminated beer in Mexico. When Hank, who got sick after he bought some the beer in Mexico, confronts the owner about this, the owner is indifferent to both Hank and the people in Mexico who get sick while mentioning that the beer in Mexico being perfectly drinkable, and smugly threatens to sic his lawyers on Hank and sue him for slander before having him escorted out of the building.
  • Death Glare: Peggy's supervisor gives one to either Hank for confronting the executives or at Peggy for spilling the secret.
  • The Food Poisoning Incident: Peggy realizes the Alamo beer shipment to Mexico was tainted with cleaning solution when she starts taking calls about vomiting and diarrhea from customers. Eventually she gets the executives at Alamo to admit their mistake and initiate a recall after sneaking some Mexican-market Alamo into a board meeting.
  • Potty Emergency: Hank and the guys rush home to use the bathroom after drinking tainted beer from Mexico and all just make it, but Dale has to wait even longer because of the complicated security system he's setup for his bathroom.
Dale: Step on it, Bill! I don't know which way it's coming out, but it's coming out!
  • Special Guest: Megan Mullally as Teresa.
  • Spit Take: Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer when Hank realize the beer was making them sick.
    Hank: And Peggy knew!
    [Bill does another spit take.]
  • A Taste of Their Own Medicine: After the Alamo Beer executives won't admit that they are purposely selling contaminated beer in Mexico, Peggy gets some of the beers Hank bought in Mexico, smuggles them into the executive board room, where the executives inevitably get sick, and are forced to issue an apology and a recall in both the local Texas and Mexico markets.
  • What You Are in the Dark: For as much of a gloryhound as Peggy is, she doesn't tell Hank that she engineered the public apology and recall for the tainted beer.
