To celebrate Yukimi's discharge from the hospital, the Igarashi family embarks on a trip to the hot springs! Heavily convinced that Daiji is Evil, Hiromi pursues the family on their trip, bringing George along with him. During the party to celebrate Yukimi's discharge however, Kagero reveals his true nature! What will happen to Ikki and the Igarashis!?

Tropes

  • And I Must Scream: Kagero's conversation with Daiji implies the latter is suffering this, with his heavy sweating implying he's been trying in vain to gain back control of his body. Kagero still shuts him out with a snap of fingers afterwards.
  • The Cuckoolander Was Right: Vice was suspicious of the hot springs inn the family was staying in — and Daiji — only for Ikki to brush him off. Indeed, not only was the inn staff in cahoots with the Deadmans, Aguilera almost succeeded in killing Ikki through Tampering with Food and Drink, and Kagero shortly reveals himself to the family the day later.
Vice: (upon Kagero's reveal) See?! I knew it!
  • Designated Girl Fight: Subverted. Sakura attempts to attack Aguilera while Revice are busy with Kagero and Demons is fighting Julio and Olteca, but Aguilera merely rebuffs the youngest Igarashi after a brief scuff.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Aguilera wonders how can Kagero hate Ikki so much. She tried to poison the latter in front of the whole family just a couple hours earlier, but seems to have a distaste for his needless cruelty. It doesn't diminish her expectations for the next day's spectacle, though.
  • Evil Laugh: Kagero indulges in one after he is done torturing Daiji for the time being.
  • Fighting from the Inside: As shown when Kagero pulls him out of their shared subconscious to mock him, Daiji has been desperately trying and failing to get back in control.
  • Foreshadowing: George expresses his curiosity over why Genta Igarashi does his livestreams despite the latter having nothing to gain from doing them.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: Aguilera and Olteca's chosen disguises this episode are that of a bespectacled inn employees.
  • He Is Not My Boyfriend: When the Igarashis encounter Sakura's junior "Tamaki" (actually Julio in disguise) at the inn, Yukimi teases that he and Sakura make a cute couple, to Sakura's embarrassment.
  • Heroic BSoD: Ikki suffers one after Kagero's reveal, hesitating to transform and standing still and silent on multiple moments while Vice tries in vain to fight Evil alone.
  • Hidden Depths: The Ushijima family are revealed to work in a strict military-like fashion and are keeping tabs on the Igarashis for an unknown reason, to the point of using wiretaps and spying on them with a video camera.
  • Hope Spot: Invoked. Kagero deliberately waits until Daiji's family are at their happiest before attacking Ikki and revealing his true identity to them.
  • Idiot Ball: Vice recognized Aguilera and tried to alert Ikki to the Deadmens' presence in the spa, but he was ignored, which would have killed him if Kagero wasn't saving him for later.
  • Internal Reveal: The Igrarashi family learn of Kagero's existence, as well as the fact that the inn staff are working with the Deadmans. Sakura in particular also learns her dojo junior "Tamaki" turned out to be a Deadmans executive.
  • Midfight Weapon Exchange: In a clash of finishers, Revi and Evil ended up swapping their Jackal and Kong Vistamps, allowing each to use the power the other had just previously used.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: A Freeze-Frame Bonus of their text conversation reveals that Ikki is ready to pound Kagerou to a pulp while Vice is advising caution.
  • Properly Paranoid: In a secret conversation at night, George tells Vice he's being this. Vice explains he's got no choice in order to protect Ikki (and himself by extension).
