Tropes

  • Cooldown Hug: After Hiromi and Daiji mutually unmorph, Hiromi reassures Daiji that everything will be alright and he just has to be willing to forgive himself, even giving Daiji a hug when an eye-to-eye wasn't enough.
  • Distressed Dude: Vice gets captured by Giff where he gets to learn of the eldritch being's motivations. He manages to break free.
  • Dramatic Irony: Daiji believes making a pact with Giff would save humanity, but Giff's chat with Vice confirms that he wishes to eradicate all humanity sans the Igarashis.
  • Heel Realization: Daiji eventually comes to realize the error of his self-righteous ways, which enables Kagero to return, and the former returning to the heroes' side... all thanks to Genta and Hiromi's efforts in persuading him.
  • He's Back!:
    • Kagero turns out to be hiding within the Holy Live Vistamp all along, and resurfaces after Daiji has his Heel Realization.
    • Similarly, Hiromi resumes being Kamen Rider Demons and transforms into the form for the first time since episode 20.
  • Hey, That's My Line!: Vice gets annoyed when Ikki and Daiji do the handshake Ikki normally does with Vice, saying that it's their thing.
  • Never Got to Say Goodbye: Earlier on, George — still angry over the previous episode's revelation — coldly blows Hana off when she tells him about Masumi's condition deteriorating, using working on the Demons Driver as an excuse. At the end of the episode he finally relents and goes to see his father, only to learn upon arrival that Masumi has already passed.
George: Hey—! (sees his father's dead body) Daddy...?
  • Never Say That Again: George's condition to allow Hiromi to use the Demons Driver is that he is not to say his Catchphrase or anything alluding to it, something the latter agrees to.
  • Theme Music Power-Up: Daiji and Kagero's combined comeback against Giff is punctuated with their character song "Mirage Mirror" playing in the background.
  • The Reveal:
    • Giff reveals to Vice that his motivation is to feed on the inner demons of humanity, and the reason he had Akaishi guide humanity's development was to ensure they never got too powerful for him to control.
    • The Gifftexes sacrificed to Giff, including Olteca, are all in stasis within Giff's dimension.
  • Suddenly Voiced: Giff talks for the first time in the show, voiced by Kazuhiko Inoue.
  • We Can Rule Together: Giff proposes to Vice that he will spare the Igarashis due to their distinct connection with their inner demons, and because he considers them his family.
