Genta ferociously settles the score with his demon Vail, which triggers a violent reaction inside Daiji. Did his father's message get through to him?

However, Giff continues to shroud hope with fear to block the message. This even frightens Akaishi, who should have decayed.

When ARARAT, which was supposed to be a symbol of peace, is attacked, Ikki finally comes face-to-face with Giff. He swears to protect the world even at the cost of his own memories of his family...

Tropes

  • Foreshadowing: Ikki's memory loss has worsened to the point where he even forgot his family regularly eats sukiyaki during joyous occasions, something that only Vice noticed.
  • Hold the Line: Sakura and Hana try to buy time in order for Hikaru to charge up as many Genomixes as possible to try to beat Akaishi with. When the girls eventually fall, Ikki takes their place, which buys Hikaru enough time to do a 4 Vistamp Genomix and deal heavy damage to Akaishi, but not enough to kill him.
  • If I Can't Have You…: Akaishi lays waste to ARARAT after realizing that he's failed Giff one too many times. And if he can't successfully guide humanity to serving Giff, then destroying humanity is his next best bet.
  • Killed Off for Real: After his resurrection by Giff earlier, Akaishi is permanently killed by Daiji.
  • Never Trust a Trailer: The preview for this episode heavily implied that Hikaru would bite it, though in reality, he was just overexerted due to using four Genomixes at once.
  • Rasputinian Death: Akaishi boasts that in exchange for returning his immortality to Giff, he is now much more powerful than before. He's proven right: it takes a four-Vistamp Genomix finisher from Over Demons and a point-blank shot from Holy Live to defeat him once and for all.
  • The Reveal: Masumi reveals that he transferred his own inner demon into George, when the latter was a child; he theorizes that this may have influenced his personality, explaining his shadiness early in the show.
  • Wham Line: It looks as though Daiji is making a Heel–Face Turn... and then he turns to Giff and asks to make a contract with him.
  • Wham Shot: Literally, as it seems Daiji is about to help Akaishi... only to raise the Livegun and unleash a Rider Shooting at point-blank range through the chest.
