Written By: Shogo Muto

Sento: A civil war has erupted over the incredible energy hidden within Pandora’s Box. Kamen Rider Build aka Kiryuu Sento is defeated by Evolt, who has obtained overwhelming strength after fusing with Banjou. And now Evolt is finally opening Pandora’s Box…
Kazumi: That’s the end for Kamen Rider Build! Next week it’s the love story of Kazumin and Miitan, the premier of “Did You Hear the Idol Otaku is Dating His Fave?”
Sento: No it’s not! Stop changing the name of this show. Build is still the star, and here’s Episode 36!

Our protagonists have lost and Evolt is finally going to do something with the completed Pandora Box. What could it be, and can our protagonists still stop him??

Episode Tropes:

  • Blatant Lies: Sento tries to convince Misora that using panel of Pandora Box in the Build Driver is no big deal. Misora overheard him explain it to Sawa and can sense his crap from mile away anyway so of course she doesn't believe him for a second.
  • Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: Vernage’s battle with Evolt on Mars was definitely this since she was unable to completely defeat Evolt and died trying. Later in the episode, Sento engages Evolt using a panel of Pandora’s Box as a power up item that allowed Sento to raise his hazard level to 6 and severed Evolt from Ryuga’s body, but his attempt at a suicide attack failed and now Evolt has possessed Sento’s body and acquired the Rabbit Evolbottle.
  • Brick Joke: One that took 21 episodes to fall after being set up in #15. When Gentoku leaves the Build Lab he does a Double Take once he realizes he just climbed out of the same fridge he searched back then and slowly walks up to it as the Crocodile Crack Fullbottle's standby jingle plays and he's hit with the creeping realization that he was duped all that time ago.
  • Brought Down to Normal: The teaser for the next episode reveals that Ryuga can no longer transform with the Build Driver.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Shinobu Katsuragi devised a method to utilize a panel of the Pandora Box to boost a human’s power beyond ordinary limits. Evolt found out and deleted some of the files, but Sento manages to restore those files and discover that method, which is revealed to be extremely dangerous if a human attempts this.
  • Elemental Powers: This episode reveals that the Fullbottle Buster can utilize enhanced bursts of power from the Fullbottles utilized in its Fullbottle Break.
  • Foreshadowing: Vernage reveals that Martian civilization was destroyed by a massive distortion that appeared and sucked everything up, setting up Evol's final form, Black Hole.
  • From Bad to Worse: Amazingly, Evolt becomes even more powerful, by leaving Ryuga's body and taking Sento's, which just proved to be capable of reaching an even higher Hazard Level. To make things worse, the preview shows that even though Banjou is in control of his body again, he can't transform.
  • Imagine Spot: Kazumi thought his inner monologue was all in his head, but Sento and Gentoku’s reaction make it very obvious he’s just talking to himself.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: When Kazumi brought Gentoku out to one of the Sky Roads, he forces Gentoku to fight him so the loser can do what the winner decides, and proves that he has raised his hazard level to the point where he can now overpower Rogue, tanking a Crack Up Finish and defeating Gentoku with a single Scrap Finish, which is bounds above what he was able to do back in #24 and #25. However, he is doing this in order to get Gentoku to work with them and convince him to find something to raise his hazard level for their fight against Evolt.
  • Repower: Vernage restores the essences within the sixty Fullbottles after Evolt drains their essences to create the Evol Trigger.
  • Planet Looters: Evolt’s goal is revealed to be not simply destroying Earth, but sapping it of all resources for his purposes. The first of said purposes being to restore his full power. It’s implied that he, and his race, have done this to many planets before he ever reached Mars.
  • The Reveal: Evolt reveals that once all sixty Fullbottles have been assembled and combined with attached to the panels, Pandora’s Box would allow him to create the Evol Trigger, the device that allowed him to destroy Mars. Additionally, Vernage reveals that Evolt himself is not from Mars and explains that the Fullbottle essences that were created were made from Soichi’s memories from when he touched Pandora’s Box.
  • Spanner in the Works: Vernage knew that Evolt was going to try and destroy Earth the first moment he got, but when child Misora entered the exhibit room containing the artifacts recovered from Mars, Vernage managed to get Misora close enough to bond with her bangle so that she could empty the essences of the Fullbottles inside Pandora's Box.
  • Soul Jar: When Vernage fought Evolt on Mars, she did it thinking she was going to die, and only managed to split Evolt’s body from his soul which hid inside Pandora’s Box. Vernage at some point managed to infuse her soul into the bangle that would end up bonding with Misora after that battle.
  • Taking You with Me: Evolt tries to absorb data from a human that has gone beyond their limits in order to have a completed body that can harness the Evol Trigger’s full power. But Sento was waiting for the moment he abandoned Ryuga’s body so that he could crank up the power even further to self-destruct from the stress of his body being unable to handle the power. Unfortunately, this wasn’t enough to defeat Evolt.
  • Teleportation Rescue: After Evolt fails to activate the Evol Trigger, Vernage comes in and surprises Evolt by forcing him into a pillar before teleporting out of Pandora Tower with Sento in tow.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Misora once again breaks down in front of Sento because of his plan to do something dangerous to himself, asking if he knows the consequences of what will happen if he succeeds but leaves Ryuga, Sawa, and herself behind unable to stop him. Sento quietly reassures her and says he’ll come back to them, but Misora remains unconvinced as he leaves.
  • Wham Line: Evolt has now taken over Sento.
  • Wham Shot: Evolt creates the Rabbit Evolbottle from Sento's essence and the episode ends with him transforming into EvolRabbit.
  • World's Strongest Man: Evolt reveals that Project Build was essentially a plan to create the ultimate warrior, one that could harness the energy that the Evol Trigger would release once activated since the human body normally cannot. In order to do that, he forced Sento into ever escalating situations of war so that he had to adapt and improve his Build Driver to become even stronger and develop something that could even handle using the Evol Trigger.
  • Your Princess Is in Another Castle!: A villainous variant. Evolt manages to create the Evol Trigger, but it doesn't work yet.
