- The Cameo: Orbitty makes a cameo in this episode, serving as the Cupid in people's bodies.
- Gasp!: Loopy exclaims "Le gasp!" when Cindy says that Jabber could be stuck in low-energy mode forever.
- Gone Horribly Right: Jabberjaw manages to stop chasing after hot guys with a "hottie blocker," but it saps all of her energy and she's reduced to a husk of her former self.
- Gross-Up Close-Up: There is a closeup of Jabberjaw's face as snot leaks out of her nose, her eyes turn red, and she drools.
- Married to the Job: A positive example - Cindy says that she's happy that she's single because she's married to her work.
- No Power, No Color: As all of Jabberjaw's energy is sapped, her skin color fades out. It becomes vibrant again by the end of the episode.
- Old Maid: Apparently, Cindy's mom keeps bothering her about not being married. We hear Cindy talking to her over the phone, and defending herself, saying that she's not a spinster.

- Captivity Harmonica: As he's arrested, Top Cat plays the blues on a harmonica.
- Disguised in Drag: Top Cat's gang, sans Choo-Choo and Brain who are girls, when they dress up as moms in order to break him out of prison.
- Gratuitous German: Tubb (from Moby Dick) utters some German.Tubb: Oh nein. Das ivy is in mein scuben suiten.
- Hidden Depths: Spooky is revealed to be a great tailor, as she made all of the dresses for the gang's disguise.
- Madness Mantra: While Benny wears Top Cat's hat, he says "I'm Top Cat" over and over.
- The Plan: TC's gang comes up with a convoluted plan to sell everyone their itch cream. Choo-Choo and Fancy Fancy shapeshift into horses and win the Jellystone Derby, and become so popular, that everyone throws carrots at them. Without their carrots, everyone's eyesight deteriorates, and they go blind. Mayor Huck will blindly sign a bill that appoints the gang as the comptrollers of the department of ointments and creams. The plan fails, because the gang ends up using all of the itch cream before they sell it.
- Polygamy: Top Cat's gang disguise themselves as his "five moms." Touché Turtle says that's suspiciously too many moms.
- Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: To Ocean's 11.
- The Reveal: Yahooey reveals that he has two moms.
- Secret Test of Character: By the end of the episode, the rest of TC's gang goes to jail. They lament that they didn't sell the itch cream, but Top Cat reveals that selling the cream wasn't actually his plan, he just wanted to see everyone take turns wearing his hat and being the leader.Benny: The real cream was the confidence we earned along the way.
- Shout-Out: Fancy Fancy's mom disguise is based on Holly Golightly from Breakfast at Tiffany's.
- What Would X Do?: In TC's absence, his friends try to think like he would while wearing his hat.
