Hustle goes all Bollywood!

The gang targets Kulvinder Samar, a greedy sweat shop owner, loner, and a passionate fan of Bollywood films, on the request of Albert's retired grifter friend Harold. However, after an accident, his memory is all fogged up, and starts to regret all his past actions...

Tropes:

  • The Con: Subverted because Kulvinder, the mark, reforms due to amnesia and the team brings the whole thing to a halt rather than scam an honest man.
  • Concert Climax: There's a Bollywood-style dance near the end of the episode that has everyone dubbed over that has Samar reveal that he wants to make good on those he has wronged, and he reveals his memory has come back via song. The gang opt not to con him, and makes some glances towards Mickey that essentially tells him that "he knows".
  • Gag Dub: Done in the Concert Climax, with Indian voice actors replacing the core cast and crew when they sing.
  • Nice to the Waiter: Samar sharply averts this:
Waiter: "Can I get you anything?"
Kulvinder: "Yes, you can get me the "Sir" you dropped from that sentence"
  • Hated by All: While later marks are no doubt more unpleasant than Samar by way of their actions, he no doubt gets painted by the show as this. He has a really snooty attitude, looks down on people because of their occupation, owns a sweatshop that frequently abuses its workers, and is rude to everybody, regardless of standing in life. It's one of the few times where Mickey outright wants to con a man because of his attitude.
Mickey: "I have never wanted to take someone's money quite as badly as this..."
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Samar suffers from this when he gets into a car crash, which lets the gang do a redo of the Investor con, but make it less perfect so he doesn't catch on the second time around.
  • Villainous BSoD: Samar is one nasty piece of work, but after he gets into a car crash and suffers short-term amnesia, he becomes quite a lot friendlier, and makes the observation that all the hospital's patients had visitors like loved ones and family, whereas he had nobody that came to check up on him, and suggests he did something wrong in his life before the crash. He remembers his factory, and goes to check on the sweatshop workers, and is completely riddled with guilt. In the dance sequence, he pledges to give all his wealth to charity, and later wants to go to acting school after selling off his sweat shop business.
