WWII Era wine is such a hard thing to come by...
Eddie is £50,000 short as the owner of his fathers nursing home; Veronica Powell, is getting him into debt over increased fees, and he asks the crew with some help.
Tropes:
- Batman Gambit: Danny needs to make Veronica believe that he thinks it's worthless after she gets the wine tested, which will further trick her into thinking the other cases of the wine are genuine.
- Costume-Test Montage: Stacie makes Billy try on suits for the auction.
- Hated by All: Veronica is a selfish, uncaring, sociopathic bitch who only cares about making money off of the elderly by flipping their houses (usually put up for security) when the residents pop their clogs. She is fussy about wine (being a wine buff), needlessly abrasive, extremely dismissive towards the elderly in her homes even referring to them as "inmates", and dangerously clever. Later marks may be more money hungry, but there's a special kind of hatred reserved for those who take from the elderly.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Danny's usually very talkative and jocular about their current marks, so when his only response to hearing Eddie explain what Veronica's done to his father's nursing home is "They can't do that". Just that simple remark shows how serious Danny is; no quippy comeback or joke, just a serious reply.
- Unspoken Plan Guarantee: Danny has problems coming up with a new plan for the wine bottle con, but the following day comes up with one, something the audience and the crew do not know the details of.
