Strong Bad riffs on fan costumes both good and bad, including Bakin' Time Strong Bad, baby Rocoulm, a Keeper of Trogdor, the usual batch of Homestars with bad stars, and some surprising results from a certain experiment.
Tropes:
- Continuity Nod:
- Strong Bad wonders if the person in the "Baking Time Strong Bad" costume is making "chicken...in a pan", which is said in the same way as he said it in the SBEmail "slumber party".
- The Rather Dashing "from the these-years years" mopes "I don't like food anymore!", in a nod to the SBEmail "2 years".
- A Modestly Hot Homsar posing with a home-made Homsar plush inspires Strong Bad to sing a parody of the last verse of the song from "different town".
- One fan is dressed as Stingy Relenque, "the French-Canadian smuggler and Decemberween-themed bad guy" from "Dangeresque Puppet Squad: The Hot-Jones Hijack".
- Strong Bad is pleasantly surprised that not one, but two groups of fans dressed up as "Tentacle-Mouth Strong Bad" and "cardboard box snowman adjacent to Homestar Runner with a Yorkshire pudding condition" from last year's fan costume commentary.
- Initiation Ceremony: According to Strong Bad, becoming a member of the On-Point Kings involves "eating three large gallon-of-milk pizzas in an hour", drawing hillbilly teeth on the chin of a sleeping Homestar, and eating a basket of "bottle-rocket chili cheese fries".
- Insane Troll Logic: Strong Bad wonders why a fan dressed as Cannon-Mouth left a hole punch on their kitchen counter, and concludes it's there to fill a three-ring binder with pre-made crepes (which are one of the few foods Cannon-Mouth would be able to eat).
- Orphaned Punchline: The scene showing off Homestar's "shoulder shoomps" opens on Strong Bad saying to Homestar "...You know, so I squangled my vertex, but he didn't seem to care."
- Shout-Out: The Stinko Man costume is presented as coming from a special titled It's the Halloween Cheatball, Stinkly Brown!
