When Piper gets a mysterious illness, Captain Man must travel back in time to the 18th century to find the only cure.

- Call-Back:
- The Time Jerker's time machine makes a reappearance.
- So do Piper's Vans sneakers from Opposite Universe.
- "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Schwoz's idiocy is the reason this episode happened.
- The whole episode could have been avoided if Henry, Charlotte, Ray or even Schwoz had thought about using The Time Jerker's time machine to go back in time to stop Piper from eating the contaminated cookie.
- Also, let us not forget that Schwoz could have put the comodium acetate somewhere other than his kitchen or not gone along with sending the cookie to Henry's house.
- Find the Cure!: Ox Pox can only be cured with a medicine created from the feathers of a chicka-willow, who had been extinct since the 18th century. Since Ray saved the Time Jerker's time machine, he uses that to travel back to 1709 Alaska to retrieve a chica-willow from there. Unfortunately, the time machine accidentally brings back the Ray from 50 years in the future and Present Ray is stuck in 1709 with the chica-willow still on him, until Henry brings him back.
- Jerkass Has a Point: While Piper may have gone over the top in kicking Henry, she did have a reason to do so because Henry attempted to throw her around by getting the diseased cookie out of her stomach.
- Little Girls Kick Shins: Piper kicks Henry in the shin with her sneaker after he thrashes her around trying to get Schwoz's diseased cookie out of her.
- Minion Maracas: When Piper eats the diseased cookie, Henry attempts to get it out of her by shaking her. Let's just say she doesn't take it well.
- Never Say "Die": It's implied that Piper will likely die if her Ox Pox is not cured, as evidenced by Ray and Schwoz responding "I'm sorry for your loss" whenever Henry asks what will happen. Averted in the beginning when Ray asks Henry, "Do you want to die?" when warning him about Schwoz's diseased cookie.
- Polka-Dot Disease: The titular Ox Pox, which is like chicken pox and measles, but even worse; it was caused when Piper ate Schwoz's cookie with comodium acetate in it.
- Shout-Out: Doc Brown and Marty from Back to the Future make an appearance.
