"I guess you don't have to be a Hexenbiest to be a witch."

Oh! There is a terrible witch in that house who spewed her poison over me and scratched me with her long fingernails.

Monroe spills the beans to Nick about Juliette's infidelity, causing their already-troubled relationship to break down altogether. Complicating matters is Adalind, back in town and working for the Royals.

She gets to work quickly, incapacitating Hank and pumping Juliette for information. Nick arrests her in connection with her mother's murder, but she's the one who wants something from him; the key. The Royals want it, and they always get what they want...

This episode provides examples of:

  • Alone with the Psycho: Juliette goes out for tea with Adalind, and ends up telling her about the trailer. However, all Adalind learns is that it's in a storage lot somewhere before she's arrested.
  • Call-Back:
  • Cliffhanger:
    • Starts by showing the aftermath of the previous episode's cliffhanger: Juliette reacts to Monroe seeing her kissing Renard by running away, over Renard's confused protests. She and Monroe each independently decide they have to tell Nick, although Monroe gets there first.
    • At the end, Nick turns up on Monroe's doorstep having walked out on Juliette. Monroe shows him a news clip featuring the guy he saw kissing Juliette, and Nick finally realises Renard is Juliette's other guy. Monroe anxiously asks Nick if he knows the guy as Nick's expression turns nuclear.
    • Following Adalind's tip, Renard finds the trailer and prepares to search it for the key.
  • Dramatic Irony: Renard asks Nick how he's doing, and Nick confides that he thinks Juliette's seeing another man... to that man.
  • Exiled to the Couch: Nick and Juliette, both self-imposed. After their fight about Juliette's infidelity, Nick storms off to spend the night on the couch at the trailer while Juliette goes to Monroe's to explain what happened at the Spice Shop and ends up falling asleep on his couch. At the end of the episode, Nick has finally had it with being Exiled to the Couch by Juliette's amnesia when she's cheating on him anyway and goes to stay with Monroe, although he at least gets the guest room this time.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Monroe has a beer in hand when he tells Nick about Juliette. Before starting, he drinks from it with such intensity that Nick looks concerned for his health.
  • Internal Reveal: Nick finds out that Juliette and Renard are seeing each other.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Juliette asks Monroe about her altered memories, specifically what he was supposed to tell her in Woman In Black. This forces him to dodge the question just like Nick did when she asked him, reluctantly using the same "you wouldn't understand" excuse Nick did. Fair to say, she's getting pretty sick of it.
  • Lured into a Trap: How Nick and Monroe deal with the Hundjagar. Having found their hotel room, Monroe knocks on the door pretending to look for someone else and generally behaving in a suspicious manner. They follow him outside and he leads them to a nearby empty lot where Nick is waiting with a bunch of weapons.
Monroe: So do you wanna arrest these guys or what?
    Nick: Or what.
  • Trojan Prisoner: Variation. Adalind let herself be arrested because being in jail is a pretty good alibi for what's about to happen. She also takes the opportunity to pass on Juliette's tip about the trailer to Renard so he can find it.
  • Worf Had the Flu: Hank is assaulted in his house and beaten up by a gang of Hundjager working for Adalind. This puts him in hospital and out of her way for the entire episode.
