Bowser is looking to recruit more minions in "Bowser Needs Minions!" (yes, the exclamation point is mandatory), so he sends for the few minions he has to look for any volunteers. But a Microgoomba too tiny to sustain himself and a confused Bob-omb that explodes before taking orders probably aren't the best candidates, while no one is fooled by the "persuasive" Goomba disguising himself as a Toad.
But Bowser's luck may turn when he catches Wario and Waluigi trying to steal his treasure. He is about to pursue the thieves, but then gets an idea. He offers Wario and Waluigi to join his cause. Secretly seeing this as a chance to get the treasure they want, Wario and Waluigi agree.
And so begins Bowser's next plan...
Notably the first Goomzilla episode to feature a brand new Peach plush. This one is smaller and less bendy than the last one.

Tropes applying to Bowser Needs Minions!:
- Continuity Nod:
- The Mushroom Factory is still destroyed.
- Yoshi is still recovering from the cage crushing him from the last episode.
- Ding-Dong-Ditch Distraction: A Goomba does this to Mario. For no other reason than to mess with him.
- "Everybody Laughs" Ending: Of the Evil Laugh variety.
- Honor Among Thieves: When running away from Bowser, Waluigi waits for Wario to escape with him, instead of going down the stairs without him.
- Last Note Nightmare: It's a relatively funny episode with all sorts of wacky hi-jinks. And then we end on the lights going out as Bowser and his minions laugh.
- Lighter and Softer: This episode is more comedic and lighthearted than the last episode, although it ends on a Last Note Nightmare, and is the planned prequel to a much darker episode.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: A Goomba disguises himself as a Toad to convice people to work for Bowser. Nobody is convinced.
- Sequel Hook: Bowser fiddling with an odd-looking generator would later make sense in Mario's Quest.
- The Stool Pigeon: When a Boo catches Wario trying to steal treasure from Bowser, he quickly alerts Koopa. Later, Koopa himself sees a Goomba making off with Bowser's treasure and alerts Bowser himself.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Peach doesn't get kidnapped in this episode.
