- Slap-Slap-Kiss: Ross gets in a big argument with Rachel over finding out that she has feelings for him now that he's on a relationship with Julie. Ross leaves the coffee shop, but sees Rachel inside crying and stops. When Rachel sees him, she runs over to the door and, after some trouble opening it, rushes over to Ross, who then pulls her into his arms and kisses her.
- Weight Woe: Chandler's weight gain is a plot point.
- What Did I Do Last Night?: Rachel gets so drunk she doesn't remember leaving Ross a message. It's only after he checks his machine and tells her there's a message from her that it comes back to her.Rachel: I think there was a restaurant. I know there was wine.
