The Francis MMBC is a Murder Mystery Bacheloret Challenge, and the first part of the harmoniouspixels* MMBC trilogy, followed by Hart and Baines. The table of contents can be found here.
Francis MMBC started as a simple BC for Mx. Troye Francis to find love. The project was cohosted by Cathy Baines and Seth Diamonds of the Sim Nation Broadcasting Company (SNBC). The project starts off simply enough as a BC, but the project quickly turns as the murders begin. After the first few deaths, the reality sinks in that these were not some freak accidents, but rather murders. With the heavy air of an MMBC now upon the Francis house, the audience tries to deduce the sinister killer, but the ending is even more sinister than anyone could have imagined.
- Joey Strauss - hit by a vending machine
- Radley Vetch - drowning
- Annalise Russell - poisoned jellybean
- Claude Starbay - electrocution
- Emma Sparks - asphyxiation
- Lily Westfall - hypothermia in the snow
- Remy Didit - hit by a wrench
- Ethan Hendricks - gunshot
- Seth Diamond, cohost - gunshot
- Finley Kang
- Chadrick Waite, murderer... and winner
This MMBC provides examples of:
- The Butler Did It: Averted with Remy Didit.
- Downer Ending: For the first time in MMBC history, the host, Troye Francis, chose the wrong Sim to trust. The murderer has won, and despite them still opting to stay with him romantically, the precedent is set that murderers actually CAN succeed in winning if they keep the secret well enough.
- Late-Arrival Spoiler: Those who know the basic premise of the third in the trilogy or has even glanced over the second will not find Cathy Baines' FaceāHeel Turn surprising here.
- From Nobody to Nightmare: Prior to the inclusion of some of Danganronpa's plot points in later installments to explain her villainy, Cathy truly fell into this. As it is, she's a variation in that, until then, no one really expected it of her.
- Shout-Out: Word of God confirms that Remy's death is this to Molly's death in Camisade through the same method and hiding place.
