"Have you finished talking yet?"
The Gorgs want to build a gazebo. The problem is, they're going to build it in the spot where the Trash Heap is, so they decide to throw her away. Unafraid, the Trash Heap instructs Philo and Gunge to find some Fraggles to help her. They fetch Boober and Wembley. Inspired by a postcard from Uncle Matt, Wembley climbs onto a sleeping Junior and gets him to move the Trash Heap to the other side of the garden.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Baguette Beatdown: When the Gorgs find Wembley and Boober in the garden, Junior attempts to thump them with a loaf of French bread.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Boober and Wembley, saving the Trash Heap.
  • Blatant Lies: Sprocket, who wants a second helping of dog food, claims the first helping literally vanished into thin air. Doc isn't fooled, since that's scientifically impossible and Sprocket has gained five pounds from overeating.
  • Bring Help Back: On overhearing that she's about to be thrown away, the Trash Heap tells Philo and Gunge to find some Fraggles to help.
  • Bucket Helmet: Boober grudgingly wears a saucepan as a hat while Wembley sings a song he's just written. Wembley then uses it as a drum, while Boober's still wearing it.
  • Continuity Nod: While writing a song, Wembley plays the bongos, something he was doing in "Wembley and the Gorgs."
  • Delegation Relay: Ma asks Pa to build a gazebo. Pa says he will—then gives the job to Junior.
  • Delicious Distraction: Before Junior can finish telling Pa that he put the Trash Heap next to the toolshed, Ma enters to say that lunch is ready. Pa and Junior eagerly head for the table.
  • Diet Episode: Ma is trying to lose weight and doesn't want any lunch.
  • Does Not Like Spam: After making iced tea, Doc remembers he doesn't like it. It doesn't go to waste, though—Sprocket drinks it.
  • Dreadful Singer: Wembley's singing voice makes the Doozers flinch in agony.
  • Eek, a Mouse!!: The Gorgs' peaceful lunch is interrupted when Ma finds Boober hiding in her sewing basket.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: Wembley, when a postcard from Uncle Matt gives him the idea to have the Trash Heap moved to the other side of the garden.
  • Exact Eavesdropping:
    • The Trash Heap, along with Philo and Gunge, overhears Pa telling Junior to throw her away.
    • As Pa and Junior are lying down for a nap, Wembley overhears Pa telling Junior to try not to walk in his sleep this time. This gives Wembley the idea to have Junior sleepwalk the Trash Heap to her new location.
  • Foreshadowing: When Pa calls Junior over to tell him about the gazebo, Junior sleepwalks to his father's side. This foreshadows Wembley getting him to sleepwalk the Trash Heap to the other side of the garden.
  • Gender Bender: The first time the Trash Heap is moved, she becomes a he.
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: The Trash Heap speaks Russian and then German when moved to the other side of the garden.
  • The Hilarity of Hats: At the start of the episode, Wembley is sporting a particularly funky-looking chapeau. When Boober tells him how ridiculous it looks, Wembley insists it would be "dishonest" not to wear it, because he's writing a song which mentions the hat. Boober grumbles that he'll never understand pop music.
  • I Will Find You: Philo and Gunge are leaving to go look for the Trash Heap before Wembley tells them where she is.
  • Malaproper: When Ma says she wants a gazebo, Pa at first thinks she's talking about an animal (most likely confusing the word with "gazelle" or "zebra"). This gag is later repeated between Pa and Junior.
  • Melancholy Musical Number: Philo, Gunge, Boober, and Wembley sorrowfully sing "The Garbage of Time" on seeing that the Trash Heap has been taken away.
  • Nature Spirit: Before lunch, Pa says grace.
Pa: All thanks to the Spirit of the Great Gorgs and the generosity of the garden!
Ma and Junior: [joining in] Hey Nonny, Nonny, Nonny!
[They drink a toast to the Spirit.]
    Pa: Ha-Cha-Cha!
  • Not Now, Kiddo: Junior keeps trying to say that he put the Trash Heap next to the toolshed, but he keeps getting interrupted, first by Ma's announcement that lunch is ready, and then by her scream when she finds Boober in her sewing basket. He gets to say it the third time, though.
  • An Odd Place to Sleep: After sleepwalking the Trash Heap to her new location, Junior lies down in the wheelbarrow.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • Philo and Gunge, on learning the Trash Heap's about to be thrown away.
    • Boober, when he's hiding in Ma's sewing basket and realizes she's about to do some embroidery.
    • Wembley, when he overhears Pa telling Junior to dump the Trash Heap in the river.
    • Boober, when he sees Wembley hanging onto a sleepwalking Junior's hair and telling him which way to walk.
  • Science Show: The Doc's Workshop segments in the US/Canada version are this, as Doc illustrates to Sprocket the various stages of water, from solid (ice) to water to water vapor and back again.
  • Shout-Out: The episode's title is a shout-out to the film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.
  • Singer-Songwriter: Wembley sings a song he's written.
  • Sleepwalking: Junior. Wembley uses this to save the Trash Heap.
  • Stop Saying That!: When Boober is angsting over how to save the Trash Heap from being thrown in the river...
The Trash Heap: I'm not worried. You two Fraggles will save me.
Boober: [groans] I wish you'd stop saying that.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Sandwich: Pa has barely served lunch before Ma screams on finding Boober in her sewing basket. While Pa tries to calm her down, Junior leaps up to try to thump Boober and Wembley. Meanwhile, the food sits forgotten on the table.
  • Writer's Block: Wembley struggles with this while trying to write a song.
  • Written-In Absence: Gobo does not appear in this episode. Wembley mentions that he's off exploring the Ring Caverns.
  • You Are Too Late: Boober and Wembley arrive at the Trash Heap's old spot right after Junior has taken her away in the wheelbarrow.
  • You're Insane!: Boober, on hearing Wembley's idea to move the Trash Heap, tells him, "Your brain is floating off into the sunset."
  • Your Other Left: Wembley holds on to Junior's hair, tells him to sleepwalk, and gives him directions for taking the Trash Heap to her new location.
Wembley: Now, Junior Gorg, go... uh... right!
    Junior: Uh, right! [Goes left.]
    Wembley: No, right!
Junior: Uh, right! [Spins around, then faces straight ahead.]
    Wembley: You know right!
    Junior: Uh, wrong!
Wembley: Oh... uh... well... uh... go to the wheelbarrow!
