An Omega Quatrain points Foster and Eddie towards a magnetic signal in the mountains. Suddenly a GUA ship crashes nearby. Joshua brought the ship down and it begins a race to find a powerful GUA warhead from the crash.
Tropes:
- Call-Back: Cade and Eddie are following an Omega Quatrain, found during the events of the previous episode. Gibson, the pilot of the downed Gua ship, also taunts Eddie with the needles he was tortured with in that episode.
- Cool Ship: The Gua ship that gets shot down has stealth and cloaking abilities.
- MacGuffin: The warhead is ten thousand times more destructive than any human weapon, but has no fallout: the Gua could use it to wipe our all humans and just move straight in.
- The Needs of the Many: Joshua plans to set off the weapon, making the human forces realise they're being attacked and unite. He says that the thousands of lives lost in the blast are better than the nineteen million who would die in the invasion. Cade is not on board.
- Title Drop: The downed spy ship's black box is important in locating the warhead. It allows Eddie to experience the crash from inside a Virtual Reality.
