Tropes:

  • Beyond the Impossible: In the Werewolf game, one of the participants, the Phantom of the Opera, swears to find his beloved Christine (in this case Nursery Rhyme) even if he has to reach beyond time and space to do so. The next round, he has straight up vanished by seemingly doing so, perplexing everyone, including the game master; who explains that it "should" be utterly impossible to leave the game's boundaries like that.
  • Boring, but Practical: The "One/Two/Three-Only" dice won’t get you around the board very fast, but they improve your odds of landing on squares whose quests you haven’t started on or finished.
  • Debut Queue: Erice joins as a 4* welfare Lancer. Kijyo Koyo and Voyager also debut as a limited 4* Berserker and 5* Foreigner, respectively.
  • Forced Transformation: When Servants are defeated or "killed" in this singularity, they turn into tokens with their faces on them. The tokens the protagonist collects from the board game are all Servants who have already been beaten before they even showed up, and they'll collect several more going through the story quests. Also, Erice shows that it's possible to summon a fallen Servant from their token as a minion.
  • Off the Rails:
    • The Werewolf game goes awry halfway through when two players manage to go rogue and leave the playing field entirely. Things go From Bad to Worse when one of the werewolves kills the game's impartial overseer and attempts to do the same to the Master.
    • The third area was supposed to be a resource gathering game, but not only did Erice utterly decimate the playing field to prevent any further rounds, she also had the tram tracks leading to the fourth area destroyed in an attempt to keep the Chaldea team from making further progress.
  • The Reveal:
    • The Marie who’s been accompanying you since the end of the Werewolf game is actually the embodiment of Erice’s Dread Spirits that aim to devour their host once and for all.
    • Monde de Jeu itself is also an extension of Erice, being her Command Spells turned into a “trial of death and rebirth” for her to overcome with her transformation into a Servant.
