When Mr. Mufflin forbids Fanboy and Chum Chum from being their usual wacky selves for class picture day, they decide to prove him wrong and become silly themselves — with Chum Chum becoming a clown while Fanboy radically alters his face — so they can get the "Funniest Picture Ever". Soon Fanboy's face becomes a hit, but when Mr. Mufflin becomes suspicious, the boys must hide Fanboy's face from him as much as possible.
Tropes:
- Bottle Episode: The whole episode takes place mostly on the school grounds.
- Call-Back:
- The episode happens to fall at least a year since "Pick a Nose", which also takes place on Picture Day.
- Fanboy and Chum Chum have acted silly in the class picture before.
- Man-Arctica broke up with Pam; they were dating as shown in "Lice Lice Baby". See Late-Arrival Spoiler below.
- Late-Arrival Spoiler: For those who haven't seen "Lice Lice Baby" yet, Pam was dating Man-Arctica; this episode reveals he broke up with her because she isn't "cold" enough.
- Ocular Gushers: Pam has these as she's crying over her breakup with Man-Arctica.
- Out-of-Character Moment: Kyle is one of the students who laughed at Fanboy’s funny face throughout the episode.
- Recycled Soundtrack: The music played as Fanboy is making the potion that will change his face is the same tune from “Pick a Nose” as he and Chum Chum try to impress the students.
- Retcon: During Mr. Mufflin's recollection of class photos, Kyle is seen in all of them; he shouldn't be as those were before his arrival.
- Sequel Episode: To "Pick a Nose". It's set on picture day, with similar photos.
- Shout-Out: Fanboy's face transformation scene is very reminiscent of Jekyll and Hyde and maybe even the Beast transforming into a human again.
- The Voiceless:
- Despite Kyle making appearances several times throughout the episode (he is even seen on the title card), he never says a single word, aside from his laughter toward Fanboy's face and an audible whistle he makes when primping himself at the beginning.
- Yo and the other students don’t speak either, with the only lines coming from Lupe.
