Tropes

  • Babysitting Episode: Meg has to babysit Stewie for the day. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Peter only brings Lois along because he believes she wouldn't overshadow him- to the point he's willing to just hand over his Discover card and let her shop while he's playing. Turns out not only was she urged to stay due to being a female, she was the best of the bunch, to his dismay.
    • Lois not only practically begs to let her stay at the camp, but gets the players to push him to. Not only does she get injured by Peter twice as a result, she's sexually harassed by those very players since she's the only female.
  • Cerebus Retcon: Within the same episode, to boot. The players are insistent Lois stays to ensure the teams aren't lopsided... or so they claim. Lois reveals at the end they all sexually harassed her, and it's likely they only wanted her to stay for that reason.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The only reason Peter lets Lois stay at the camp is that all the players want her to stay, seemingly out of courtesy towards a female. Turns out, they all wanted to sexually harass her, since again, she's the only female there. Lois uses this to blackmail the team into letting Peter play.
  • Defiant to the End: Stewie's defiant behavior sticks to him even after Meg punishes him.
  • Foreshadowing: The players are curiously insistent Lois stays, claiming the teams would be lopsided otherwise. It's revealed at the end they all sexually harassed her, and had they not agreed to let Peter play, she wouldn't have hesitated to put them in jail for it.
  • Hypocritical Humor: The team urges Peter to let Lois stay by claiming the teams would be lopsided otherwise. This doesn't stop them from kicking Peter out, though. Zig-zagged in that Peter had just deliberately injured his own wife, an entirely valid reason to be kicked out, and it was likely they only wanted Lois there to sexually harass her.
  • Just One Extra Ticket: The episode starts with Peter winning two tickets to Fenway Park and having to decide between bringing either Joe, Cleveland, or Quagmire. Peter decides to Take a Third Option and invites Lois.
  • Rule of Funny: Wade Boggs is depicted as so much smaller than David Ortiz, that the latter can swaddle the former like a baby with no effort. In real life, while Ortiz is more muscular, he is only one inch taller than Boggs (6'3 to 6'2).
  • The Ending Changes Everything: A throwaway line from Lois reveals the players all sexually harass her. It turns the segment where they beg Peter to let her stay from "act of courtesy towards a lady" to "excuse to have a female to grope as we please", making the players unintentionally unsympathetic.
  • Was Too Hard on Him: When Stewie threatens to defecate on the wall, Meg puts him on time out, gives him a harsh scolding, and threatens to smack him in "[his] weird little head", which led Stewie to run away from her. Later on, Meg is worried about Stewie's whereabouts and searches for him until Stewie eventually appears. Meg apologizes to Stewie for everything and the two make up.
