The second of the two Valentines Day Episodes for this series. While Clumsy is struggling with the feelings that he has for his friend Brainy, Eros the rogue cherub goes around firing lust arrows at people and the Smurfs, causing them to fall in love with people of the same sex.
This story provides the following examples of:
- Apologetic Attacker: Empath, to a lust-crazed Duncan McSmurf before knocking him out with telekinesis.
- Coming-Out Story: Of a sort for Clumsy.
- Dance Party Ending: The story ends with the Smurfs attending the Valentines Dance Party.
- Distracted by My Own Sexy: Vanity in a scene where he is walking around looking at himself in his mirror, which causes collisions with his fellow Smurfs.
- Healing Spring: The Wellspring of Hope, which provides magical water that can heal cherubs who were struck by lust arrows.
- Incorruptible Pure Pureness: The Wellspring of Hope's water is so pure, not even Eros' lust arrow can affect it.
- The Imaginarium Is For Porn: Empath, Tapper, and Polaris Psyche mention that the Imaginarium is being used for rather "intimate purposes", with Polaris commenting on the creation of an Imaginarium fantasy setting called "Psychelian Love Slave".
- Love God: Besides Cupid, there's also his daughter Charity, plus Xenia, Phileo, and the rogue cherub Eros.
- Love Is in the Air: Or rather lust, as Eros' lust arrows cause the Smurfs to desire members of the same sex, and in Papa Smurf's case, Smurfette.
- Religion is Magic: Tapper is protected by a spiritual force field from the effects of Eros' lust arrow due to his faith in God. He also through prayer extends that same protection to his friends.
- Ring of Power: The Emerald Ring, which Empath wears to collect water from the Wellspring of Hope.
- Rule of Three: Vanity collides with his fellow Smurfs no more than three times in one scene when he is walking through the village looking at himself in his mirror.
