Annie feels underappreciated on Mother's Day and adopts Duncan's friend, who seems to care more about her than her own kids; Jack tries to make amends by finding a rare flower for Annie.

- Bait-and-Switch: Annie is happy that her family took her to the fancy restaurant she likes for Mother's Day... only it turns out they were taking her to the paintball place next door.
- Brain Bleach: Annie has a variant of this when she is barely able to comprehend Wolf's transformation back to his unkempt appearance. Having previously assumed it wouldn't be anything weird, Annie's left barely able to complete a sentence as she babbles about the weirdness of the event. After stating she would've never let Wolf into their house if she knew he could do that, she then asks Duncan to buy her a bottle of liquor so she can stop feeling freaked out.
- Flower from the Mountaintop: To make it up to Annie, Jack and Kimberly go to a canyon where a rare flower grows, which Annie likes. They get trapped and have to be rescued, with help from Wolf. Jack returns home with the flower (although it was badly battered by the ordeal).
- Gave Up Too Soon: When Jack tries to use Kimberly's cell phone to call 911, the bettery dies right after he types the first "1". He's so enraged by it he tosses the phone away before Kimberly has a chance to tell she has a spare battery.
- Shout-Out: Wolf regains his wolfish appearance by looking at a picture of the moon.
- Transformation Sequence: Wolf changes back from neatly groomed to his previous unkempt appearance in a parody of a werewolf transformation. Annie is creeped out by it.
