Go To

The Vengeance Arc was a period of shifting alliances. Tommy, having escaped a destroyed Logstedshire, forms what is at first a uneasy partnership and later a friendly alliance with Technoblade. L'Manberg mourns Tommy's death as the Butcher army plots to assassinate Dream during the Green Festival, Philza escapes house arrest to join Techno, Ranboo begins to question his loyalties, Bad, Ant, Punz, and Sam begin to conduct experiments on the Egg in the wake of Skeppy's corruption, and Dream meets with his last major ally Punz to discuss his plans for the future.

Puffy goes to see the Egg, and then visited a destroyed Logstedshire, mourning over Tommy's "death". She revealed her and Niki have plans for a second date.

Meanwhile, Technoblade tells Tommy about his plan of Tommy hiding in a box with invisibility in case Dream goes to look for him.

Tommy and Techno gathered supplies, before sneaking into the mainland SMP, the first time Tommy has been there since his exile.

Puffy noticed Techno and Tommy, but decided not to investigate as the two fled.

Techno and Tommy began to plan on making a secret base underneath L'Manberg, and decide on a obsidian bunker across from Party Island. When Techno begins to leave, Tommy begs him to stay, showing he has developed abandonment issues post-exile.

Techno showed Tommy the Final Control Room, triggering PTSD in Tommy, the pair then returned to the Arctic.

Eret traveled to Logstedshire, also presuming Tommy to be dead.

Dream met with Punz to discuss affairs of the server.

Dream told Punz that he was the only person to fight alongside Dream in every conflict, and that the Butcher Army were going to target himself next. Dream told Punz that Tommy had escaped from Logstedshire, and knew Tommy was still alive. Dream said he wanted to search for Tommy, and was going to do something to make everyone on the server hate him.

Dream showed Punz Pandora's Vault, and reveals to him that there was over 20 cells, enough to imprison the entire SMP, that the maximum security cell was large enough to contain multiple prisoners, and that the construction of the Prison would be completed around Christmas. Dream said Punz is the only person Dream trusted, and that he would name Punz the acting leader of the Greater Dream SMP. Dream and Punz decided to stage a falling out, involving Dream killing a fake version of Punz's horse, Bumpkin.

Tommy and Techno set out to find dogs to make a "hound army". Technoblade managed to find and tame one dog quickly, but had trouble finding others.

Techno and Tommy would find a plains biome near Logstedshire, triggering PTSD in Tommy once again. Techno went near Logstedshire, finding Dream investigating the rubble. The two made their way back to the cabin, as Dream had found Tommy was missing. Dream then messaged Techno saying he would being going to investigate Techno's base, and the two carry out the box plan.

Dream arrived at the cabin, telling Techno how Tommy had gone missing and Dream was searching for him, Dream then mentioned that L'Manberg presumed Tommy dead, but Dream knew better.Dream searched Techno's cabin, though suspicious of his "to- do list", leaves Techno be, telling him to tell Dream if he found Tommy.

With the two relieved, they snuck back into the mainland SMP.

Tommy gathered scaffolding, and murdered a Wandering Trader and one other Trader Llama, before taking and naming the other "Clarencio", which constantly spits on Tommy due to Tommy having murdered his "brother and father".

The two try to search for dogs, and find Connor with a dog, Tommy tries to distract Connor by pretending to be Clarencio, while Techno yelled at Tommy and stole Connor's dog, breeding it with Techno's dog.

Connor, confused and in a panic, logged off. Techno then exclaims that Connor had quit the SMP.

Tommy and Techno spotted Ranboo, as Clarencio tried to "mug" and attacked Ranboo, Techno also joined in, confusing Ranboo further.

Ranboo was then non-canonically killed by the Llama, and Clarencio spit at Techno's puppy, causing Techno's dog, Max, to attack and kill Clarencio.

As the two made way back to the cabin, they met the ghost of Jschllat, "Glatt", annoying the two with petty pranks, it seemed that he had cooled down since his alive days, but the canonicity of this event is disputed.

George and Quackity farm for music discs, not much happened in this stream, other then George being /killed for attacking Quackity in the Holy Land.

Tommy plans to create a new building next to Techno's cabin, with the hopes of connecting the two.

Dream then returned to Techno's cabin to investigate once again, with Techno absent, it is left up to Ghostbur to hide Tommy.

Dream brings a respawned friend, and begins to investigate, Ghostbur tries and fails to cover for Tommy, accidentally revealing Tommy wrote the to-do list, Dream is also suspicious of the newly built cobblestone tower, before Dream found Drent, with Dream stealing the prime bell and causing him to be sure of Tommy's presence.

Tommy gets to work on his new home, with help from Ghostbur, they then return to Logstedshire, with Ghostbur asking about it's destruction and the big pole in the sky. Tommy, unsettled, leaves.

Fundy scuffles with Ant and Punz, before Ant and Punz decided to leave him be.

Tubbo places Techno's weapons in a hidden chest near the Holy Land, he checks on the bees in the apiary and fixes the broken windows.

Techno returns to L'Manberg to expand the Hound Army, but on his way back is confronted by Ponk, Antfrost, and Jack Manifold, that becomes a all out brawl between them, with the three suffering many non-cannon deaths, which causes Jack to combat-log. Ant and Ponk flee to the Holy Land. Ponk tries to trap Techno, but Techno manages to knock both Ponk and Ant in it. The two then gives up, with Ponk trying to hire Techno to kill Ant and Fundy and Antfrost alerting Tubbo of Techno's presence.

Dream once again arrived to Techno's base to interrogate him about Tommy.

Dream looked through the house built by Tommy and Ghostbur, with Dream trying to talk to Techno, but Techno keeps interrupting by speaking to his voices (reading donos out loud).

The two speak, with Techno affirming to Dream he owes Dream a favour after Dream helped rescue Techno following his failed execution. Dream then tells Techno he knows Tommy was here, and draws comparison between Techno and Lycomedes, the king that housed Theseus after his exile, but killed him due to fear of Theseus's power. Dream tells Techno he will visit regularly to check on Tommy, and Techno expresses frustration at Dream constantly barging in his cabin, with Techno realizing that Dream did not have a base. Techno the mocked Dream for being homeless, while Dream tried to convince Techno he had a house. This drives Dream to build a "evil-lair" outside of Techno's cabin, but blows it up in frustration.

After Dream leaves, Techno returns to L'Manberg, spotting Quackity. Techno tries to get his hounds to kill Quackity, with Quackity trying to tower up, and failing. Techno then targets Ranboo, but the conflict is resolved.

Bad and Ant investigate the Egg, and find that the egg is corroding the obsidian around it, turning it into crying obsidian. They began to experiment on the egg, placing red, white, and blue wool blocks within the obsidian layer, and then covering the egg with the second layer of obsidian.

Bad and Ant also found Blood Vines growing in Eret's museum and Punz's tower, as well as finding Lil'Red is no longer connected to the Egg. They hide Zuko, Ponk's cat, to prevent him from being killed by the vines. Bad then pranks Quackity's house. The next day, they return to find the results of their wool experiment with the egg from the previous day. They find that the red wool turned white, the white wool remained the same, and the blue wool changed to red. They then covered the Egg in a another layer of obsidian, and also immerse the converted block of red wool in a pool filled with water to see if it will revert to its original blue color. They also place water inside the obsidian layer of the egg, to test its properties. The two then show Sam, Ant, and Punz the results.

While under house arrest, Philza manages to take off his ankle monitor, and uses a legal loophole to start expanding his basement. Ghostbur and friend arrive at Phil's home, with Ghostbur asking Phil to petsit friend before leaving. Philza continues work on his basement, and when he comes out find friend wandering the streets of L'Manberg. Philza hastily sneaks out of his house to get friend back in. Ghostbur returns, logging on every minute to ask if friend is okay, slightly annoying Phil. Phil then finds friend missing, and not wanting to have to leave his home, tells Ghostbur friend might be dead. Ghostbur searches for friend, only to find him near the Camarvan. Ghostbur calls Phil a bad pet sitter, and asks for Fundy to pet-sit insted. Fundy is confused on if friend is a pet or Ghostbur's partner, causing friend to be left in Phil's house.

Tubbo arrived, and goes to check on Phil. Tubbo then finds Phil's ankle monitor decoy, and finds Phil coming up without the ankle monitor, sees Phil put on the ankle monitor in front of Tubbo, and thens acts like nothing happened. Tubbo decides to create a new ankle monitor, this time with Curse of Binding, forcing Phil to put it on. Tubbo then enchanted a "helmet monitor" to put on Philza. Ghostbur confusingly, gives both Tubbo and Phil advice on the monitor. Ghostbur then asks to see the monitor, and Phil drops it to him... and then Ghostbur puts it on. Tubbo tries to get Ghostbur to stay in house arrest with Phil, but gets Antfrost to kill Ghostbur and get the helmet back.

Phil pretends to put the helmet monitor on by putting on a another enchanted helmet, and handing the monitor to Tubbo. Tubbo then accidentally puts it on, causing Tubbo to give up and stay in house arrest with Phil.

Techno travels to the mainland, taking down Butcher Army propaganda and replacing it with his own, anarchist propaganda, Techno sneaks into L'Manberg to rescue Philza.

Techno, through invisibility, manages to break in to Phil's house, non-canonically killing Tubbo and taking down his wanted posters, replacing them with anarchist propaganda.

While sneaking out Techno and Phil find Ranboo, who they kill. Tubbo finds Techno, but decides to ignore it. Tubbo also finds Techno's bunker and Hound Army but ignores that as well.

Tubbo and Ranboo start creating games for the Green Festival, and Techno and Phil arrives at the Arctic. Due to Phil saving Ranboo from lava, Ranboo gets permission to travel to the Arctic to give a gift to Phil. Ranboo arrives, and finds Techno and Phil executing a nitwit. Ranboo gifts Phil some netherite ingots.

Jack finds his home griefed by Ponk, and plans to gear up to fight him. Jack goes AFK, and Fundy tries to drown him before fleeing once Jack returns. Jack goes to his base to find Ponk's axe missing, confronting Tubbo about it, who refuses involvement.

Techno and Phil hunt down and kill Ranboo for technically being on L'Manberg's side and being a witness to their activities. After temporarily settling the dispute, the three make their way to the L'Manberg Apiary while invisible. Techno attacks Jack, while Phil and Ranboo look on. They talk to Jack and blame the attack on Punz, and the group forms a mob, with Ant and Fundy joining them. When Punz doesn't show up, the group decides to gang up on Jack instead, chasing him into the Holy Land and attempting to kill him with the Hellpit fall trap, Jack kills Fundy by accident in the Holy Land, and everyone chases him to Punz's house, where they meet up with Punz. Puffy and Ponk arrive, also joining the hunt for Jack. Punz and Jack decide to duel at L'Manberg to resolve the conflict, and Punz wins.

Techno and Phil return to the Arctic, and Techno reveals his wither skull vault to Phil.

The next day is Tubbo's birthday. Tubbo logs on to see what presents he has, Tubbo and his friends play games and celebrate Tubbo's birthday, with Tubbo showing Ranboo the bunker and Hound Army, but is under the impression they belong to Ponk.

Niki plans to give everyone on the server a Christmas gift. She starts writing up unique letters/messages for each individual member and makes stacks of cookies.

Tommy finds his prime bell missing, but gets another one from Techno's chests. He decides he needs to be more intimidating to get his discs back. He heads to the Greater Dream SMP, building a sign that says "2 days"out of cobblestone across the prime path near Punz's house. Ponk spots him, but decides to ignores him. Tommy places down a few "Slashclaw" signs near the cobble sign and a few "Operation Knife Point" signs at the Community House to leave a mysterious tone, which he thinks will spiral into fear.

Tommy meets up with Ponk, and asks him about Dream. Ponk says Dream has not been around much as of late, and Tommy decides to explain operation "Slashclaw" to Ponk, and Ponk takes Tommy to L'Manberg, agreeing not to snitch. Tommy goes to his old home, the BSA L'Manberg Embassy, and gets spotted by Niki, who decides to ignore him. Tommy then goes back to the arctic.

Bad checks on the crimson egg and blood vines. Bad finds that the egg has corroded the second layer of obsidian to crying obsidian. Bad checks on the corrupted red wool in the water pool and notices that it hasn't changed color. He decides to replace the regular water with holy water from Church Prime, to test its effects,Bad then tells Punz about what he has discovered about the egg. Bad also alerts Punz about the blood vines that are on top of Punz's tower. Bad shows Punz his experiment, and they grab some holy water and wear purple armor from Church Prime, to protect them from the effects of the egg. The two start cracking open the layers of obsidian around the egg. Bad finds that the inner layer of obsidian is gone and that the egg had grown bigger, seemingly absorbing the obsidian. Bad also notices that the water he placed within the second obsidian layer has turned into lava. Some red specks have also appeared on the surface of the shell. Bad and Punz start speculating that the egg is not an egg, but maybe a seed,The two flee the room, and Bad blocks the entrance of the statue room with obsidian. They meet at Punz's house after cleaning up themselves and the suits with holy water. Punz and Ant, who has arrived, attempt to drown Bad while he is AFK, but Bad manages to return in time, Bad and Punz inform Ant of what has recently happened with the egg. Bad, Punz, and Ant return to the egg with the church uniforms. Bad tells Ant about the results of their past experiments with the egg,The three then agree to keep the egg uncovered for now, and to keep the room isolated from the spider XP farm. They also enact a policy to always wear the Church Prime uniform whenever they enter the statue room,Bad, Punz, and Ant then start building a decontamination chamber out of obsidian for people to safely enter the room where the egg is. They construct a cleaning station at the entrance/exit and check on Lil'Red.

HBomb begins gathering christmas gifts, he tames a blue parrots called "BLU" for Ghostbur, flowers for Alyssa, name tags for Ant, iron and slimeballs for Sam, a enchanted netherite pickaxe for Bad and Skeppy, some "ladies" made of melons for Callahan, and a rainbow sheep for Puffy. Ponk decides to play the role of the grinch, and begins stealing stuff from other players. He meets a corrupted Skeppy, who is no longer a member of the Badlands.

Niki continues to write Christmas letters to people on the server. She delivers the letters along with the cookies in individual chests under the Christmas tree at Punz's backyard. Tommy is the only member with a unique gift, receiving a piece of coal. Fundy joins and opens up Niki's Christmas gift. Then, Fundy and Niki travel to a mushroom fields biome via the Nether. Fundy plans to build a mob farm on a section of the ocean not far from the mushroom island, in order to farm creepers and get stacks of gunpowder for TNT. They start building the base of the farm out of netherrack,Fundy and Niki travel back to the Greater Dream SMP and meet up with Tubbo. The three go to Punz's Christmas tree, where Tubbo finds and opens up his Christmas gift from Niki. Wilbur (out of character) and Jack Manifold also arrive to collect their Christmas gifts and read their letters. Ranboo finds his Christmas gifts from Sam and Niki, and then goes mining for netherite. He leaves a chest with netherite ingots, gold blocks, and lapis blocks as a Christmas gift at Techno's cabin for anyone who finds the chest first, along with a letter. He then goes on a mining trip at his strip mine.

Tommy returns to Logstedshire to conquer his fears, and is allowed to return to the main SMP by Dream due to it being Christmas.

Techno and Tommy travel to the Greater Dream SMP, and are spotted by Ranboo, who retreats. They travel through the L'Manberg sewer system, and find Connor. They find Connor has no idea of Tommy's exile and that Connor had claimed Tommy's house, the two trap Connor in a box, and torture him and try to hold him hostage to L'Manberg, but this at first fails as Connor is not a citizen of L'Manberg, but when Techno and Tommy threaten to cannonically kill Connor, the plan works.

Ranboo leads Tommy and Techno to Tubbo, and Tubbo stares at Tommy in shock, as he says he thought Tommy died. Tommy gets angry at Tubbo for not visiting him during exile, Tubbo tries to explain, but gets shut down. Tommy finds out about Techno's attempted execution and is enraged at Tubbo. In the end, Techno gets his pickaxe (Technodrill) and his multishot crossbow (Rocket Launcher) back.

Techno and Tommy then speak about Tommy's relationship with Tubbo, with Tommy not seeing Tubbo as a friend anymore. While making their way back, Dream goes through the portal and confronts them.

Dream is angry at Tommy, as he was forbidden from entering the mainland. Dream says he got Tommy's disc, Cat, back from Skeppy and then threatens to burn Tommy's disc if he doesn't come with Dream. Techno stops Dream, with Tommy calling out Dream for his manipulation. Techno asks if Dream wants to use the favour, but Dream decides not to.

Ranboo, while decorating for the Green Festival, finds that his memory book, titled "Do Not read" has gone missing. He tried retracing his steps, but to no avail. Ranboo slowly began to spiral, trying to convince himself nobody could have read the book, He thought about all the secrets the book held, including the location of Technoblade's base, the fact that Ranboo gave his armor back to him, and that he knew all along that Tommy was alive and with Techno. His anxiety continued to climb as he thought about the possible consequences of someone reading the book, combined with L'Manberg's history of executing traitors. As he walked home, he promised himself that should he ever find the book, he would never lose it again. He questioned how he could give the armor back to someone who only mildly threatened him, betraying the "one country that's given him a home." He searched his chests one last time upon reentering his house, only to find the book in a double chest. He initially relaxed, but then realized that he never put it there and there should have been no possible way it should have moved. His stream ended abruptly after that.

Techno and Tommy plot to commit "minor terrorism" in L'Manberg. Tommy and Techno take a few wither skulls, before arriving in L'Manberg, where they are spotted by Fundy and Ranboo. They threaten L'Manberg with summoning in the wither and force Fundy and Ranboo to either fight it themselves or give Techno's weapons and get help in fighting the wither. Before they can respond, the wither is summoned in, causing large scale chaos. Punz arrives, and helps Fundy and Ranboo fight off the wither. Ranboo gives Techno back his sword and axe, and Punz kills the wither, with Fundy getting the nether star.

Tommy and Techno interrogate Fundy for his nether star and the location of Tommy's discs. After much resistance, Fundy hands over the nether star, but Tommy continues to interrogate him about the discs. Fundy, driven to the point of tears reveals that a festival is taking place within L'Manberg tomorrow, and that it's likely that the owners of the discs will show up there before drowning himself. The pair then leaves.

Techno and Tommy walk to the Community House, and Tommy said he was considering blowing it up to get back at Dream. Techno speaks to Tommy, and says that although he first viewed Tommy as useless, but he now saw him as a friend. Techno revealed to Tommy of his plan to destroy L'Manberg, and that Tommy could help or not but L'Manberg would be destroyed either way. Though hesitant, Tommy agreed as long as he could get his discs back. Tommy then makes a beacon using the nether star.

Tubbo travels back to L'Manberg to find the destruction from the wither whilst Ranboo explains what happened at the Meeting Room in the Holy Land. They reconvene in the Camarvan to discuss Techno's actions, before heading back into the town center and resetting the "Days since last War Crime" board count to 0.

The pair then go back into the town center, writing down "The Laws of the Land" on a stone wall for L’Manberg to annoy the anarchists.

Law 1: We never shoot first.
Law 2: No armor is to be worn in L'Manberg.
Law 3: BoneZone.
Law 4: No explosives and withers
Law 5: Be Loyal
Law 6: No killing pets :D

Ranboo then digs down to shelter from the thunderstorm, making an underwater hideout near the railway to Tommy’s holiday home. He opens his Memory Book to page 30 of 30, with a single line of "Why do you not remember?"

He continues on the page, writing "No one found it, right? Right. No one could have found it. No one could have found where it was because you put it in there you put it in that chest I know you did".

He fills the rest of the underwater room he created with obsidian "just in case", and places a sign saying "You are fine".

He continues saying he really betrayed everyone, before saying he didn't betray anyone, listing all of the people who have helped him: Phil, Techno, Tommy & Tubbo, before realizing that Tommy and Tubbo are on different sides, he then places a second sign underneath the first saying "Don't choose a side, choose people", explaining that choosing sides is going to cause more problems, and questions himself why Tubbo exiled Tommy, and that why no one knows that Dream is the real enemy in all of this. To that, he places a third sign to the left of the other two, saying "DREAM IS THE REASON", and continues his inner monologue as to why, and that he knows that if everyone is united against Dream, he doesn't stand a chance, but doesn't know why he cares for that much power.

Ranboo questions about allegiances, where they lie and why people care about them, and then goes through the reasons for either power or wealth. He continues by talking about power, specifically what power Dream had over him when he joined the server and always has had. He concedes that the festival tomorrow isn't going to work, knowing that Dream will somehow find out about their plans.

He leaves his room, reminding himself of where it is as he comes up to the shore, and continues with the decorating for the festival, albeit focusing on Law Five: Be Loyal, as he passes the wall of laws in the city.

After more work around the city, Ranboo turns to Page 22 of his book, writing "The festival is going to go great!"

Noticing Page 1 is blank, he fills it in with his allegiances, writing:

Tommy is fine, he helped me
Philza also helped me so i let him escape with Techno as a returned favour
Tubbo is the only one that really trusts me, which i hope continues
Techno is alright. He is a friend of them so he is a friend of me

The next day, the Green Festival is held, seen on Episode 5.
