Recap / Dragons The Nine Realms S 8 E 1 How To Train Jormungandr

Go To

The riders are tracking Jörmungandr but are ambushed by it and can only escape after Wu's and Wei's fire and ice breath collide with Jömungandr's breath to create a thick cloud of smoke. This, however, leaves the dragons posioned, though not fatally, and weakened. At night, Tom looks through the Book of Dragons and discovers that Hiccup used Valka's staff to hypnotize and imprison Jörmungandr. He reclaims the staff and, after some training, manages to figure out how to use it. When confronting Jörmungandr alone, despite having promised Jun not to, he manages to get it to the gate. But Jörmungadr breaks the staff before Tom can lock it up again. The other riders arrive and they manage to escape. But Jun, being hurt that Tom broke his promise to her as well as putting himself in serious danger, breaks up with him.
