Doug must face his fears when he, Skeeter, and Roger go to Bloodstone Manor, a new ride at Funkytown based on a real haunted house.

- In the Hood: The Maniac who bought Bloodstone Manor and turned it into an amusement park ride has a green face, red eyes (Red Eyes Take Warning), and is always wearing a hooded cloak.
- Luck-Based Search Technique: Doug and Skeeter are looking for a way to start the ride back up after it shuts down for the night, and Skeeter actually gets it going again by pressing random buttons while trying to call for help.

- In his brief appearance, Mr. Bone is happily handing out treats to kids.
- The Maniac helps Doug and Roger even the score against Roger.
- Real After All: The Maniac turns out to be the ghost that haunts Bloodstone Manor. This is revealed when he gives Doug his missing Race Canyon hat back and disappears into a cloud of smoke.
- Right on Queue: Doug and Skeeter have to wait in an incredibly long line to get into Bloodstone Manor, and by the time they get to the front, the park is ready to close for the night.
- Toilet Paper Prank: Roger and his cronies try to convince Doug to join them in covering Mr. Bones’ house with toilet paper.
- Too Old to Trick-or-Treat: Skeeter tells Doug they’re too old to trick or treat and Doug responds that they can never be too old for free candy.
- Urban Legend: In the episode’s Cold Open, Skeeter tells Doug the legend of Bloodstone Manor.
