Actually, I Am Him: Nikaido invites a starving teenager into her restaurant and makes small talk about a number of victims who were partially turned into bugs. She makes fun of how bad the magic was, which makes the kid reveal that he was that sorcerer and doesn’t like being made fun of.
An Arm and a Leg: Right when the Bug Sorcerer realizes how screwed he is against Kaiman, he tries to open a door to escape out of in a panic. Then Kaiman cuts his hand off.
Anti-Hero: As the first few minutes show, Kaiman and Nikaido have zero issue whatsoever with the gruesome injuries/death they inflict on sorcerers.
Asshole Victim: Considering the bug sorcerer turned Nikaido into a part-bug after she fed him and casually made fun of his magic, on top of his other victims, it’s safe to say he honestly deserved to killed by Kaiman.
Berserk Button: The bug sorcerer does not like it when his magic is made fun of. He mutilated Nikaido with his magic for it.
Right after Fujita attacks Kaiman with magic (which doesn’t affect him), Nikaido snaps the finger he used to cast magic and knocked him out with a kick.
Later, Kaiman cuts Ebisu’s fingers off.
Gorn: Poor Matsumura gets cut into pieces by Kaiman.
Skyward Scream: Shin’s first appearance at the end of the episode, after killing a bunch of goons.
Tear Your Face Off: Just as Kaiman is in the middle of biting on Ebisu’s face, Fujita steps in through a door pulls her out with her arm. Unfortunately, Kaiman didn’t open his mouth yet and her face gets torn off by his teeth.
Teens Are Monsters: The bug sorcerer, a teenager who turns people into bugs.
Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Downplayed. Kaiman and Nikaido are disturbed when they take Ebisu’s mask off and find out she’s a little girl. Then Kaiman goes through with biting on her head for info and doesn’t seem too troubled about the fact that her face gets ripped off in the ensuing struggle.
