When super spies Dora and Boots find out that Swiper is heading over to Tico's birthday party to swipe his presents with his new invention, the Swiping Machine, they must race to warn Tico and stop the sneaky fox before it's too late.


Tropes

  • Birthday Episode: The episode takes place on Tico's birthday.
  • A Birthday, Not a Break: It's Tico's birthday today, but his presents are in danger of being taken by Swiper. Fortunately defied, as Dora and Boots manage to get to the party before Swiper does and stop him, saving Tico's presents.
  • Evil Laugh: After demonstrating his swiping machine, Swiper cackles maniacally under the belief that nothing will stop him from swiping, just before the scene cuts to Dora and Boots.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Swiper constructs the titular contraption, which allows him to swipe many objects at high speed.
  • Near-Villain Victory: Swiper comes close to swiping Tico's presents near the end of the episode, but is prevented from doing so by the three-time chant of "Swiper, No Swiping!".
  • Race Against the Clock: Dora and Boots must outrun Swiper and get to Tico's birthday party on time to warn him, because if they don't, Swiper will swipe all of his presents and result in Tico's birthday being ruined.
  • Sequel Episode: To "Super Spies" back in Season 2, with Dora and Boots once again becoming super spies on a mission to warn a friend about Swiper.
  • Tempting Fate: After successfully testing his swiping machine at the beginning, Swiper proclaims that "nothing can stop me from swiping!", but Dora and Boots hear of his plan to swipe Tico's birthday presents and set out to put a stop to it.
  • Villain Opening Scene: The episode starts with Swiper introducing himself to the audience and showing off his swiping machine.
  • Yellow Brick Road: With the help of Diego, Dora and Boots get through the Twisty Tunnel by following the path where the bat is.
