After the events of the Apocalypse, Monika and Anthy decide to work together to make a beach scene for the game. Several obstacles present themselves such as the Perfect Yuri being sent in place of Yuri; Ako and Monika arriving together; Natsuki finding herself buried up to her neck in sand; and Sayori is missing.
Beach Episode provides examples of:
- Bait-and-Switch: Natsuki seemingly warmly embraces the Perfect Yuri before giving her a Suplex Finisher.
- Beach Episode: The aptly-named arc.
- Break the Haughty: The Perfect Yuri is enraged at being easily overpowered by Natsuki due to Natsuki suddenly hugging her to force her to lower her guard.
- Breather Episode: Aside from some issues, the Literature Club nevertheless try to relax after the events of the previous arc.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Lampshaded during Monika's private talk with Ako. She acknowledges that her hitting Ako due to being insanely protective of Sayori was taking it a bit too far.
- Easily Forgiven: Subverted. While Ako understood why Sayori would lie to her about her role in the game, she nevertheless informs her that it would take her some time to come to terms with Sayori lying to her.
- Fanservice: Natsuki, The Perfect Yuri, and Monika all wear two-piece swimsuits that they also sleep in. Sayori herself notes to Monika that she looked sexy in her swimsuit eliciting Monika to Crush Blush.
- Insult Backfire: The Perfect Yuri tries to insult Ako's appearance and swimsuit, but Ako instead takes them as compliments, even suggesting that she and the Perfect Yuri go clothes shopping someday to which the Perfect Yuri begrudgingly accepts.
- Lack of Empathy: The Perfect Yuri notices Natsuki being stuck in the sand but contemplated getting ice cream first rather than immediately helping Natsuki out, even suggesting that Natsuki eat her way out of it.
- My God, What Have I Done?: While it happened a year ago, Monika nevertheless felt guilty for punching Ako during the events of the Friendship arc.
