Doc's diagnosis: Flour-tosis

Songs

  1. What's Going On?
  2. I Can't Cuddle

One morning, as Doc gets dressed, Lambie is doing sit-ups and is excited as it's "International Cuddle Day" — a day devoted to cuddling. Doc, Donny, and Lambie enter the kitchen, where the male McStuffinses are making hotcakes and accidentally spill flour on Lambie.

After breakfast, Lambie sets up a "cuddle booth" (like a kissing booth but for hugs). Wicked King cuts in line disguised as a little girl, and Chilly arrives in rain gear, thinking it's International Puddle Day. Lambie goes to hug Stuffy, but starts sneezing flour. Doc gives her a check-up and discovers the flour, which she calls "flour-tosis". She then bans Lambie from cuddling anyone lest she cover them in flour also, and she can't be washed because the parents are at work.

Lambie doesn't want to cancel International Cuddle Day, so she puts Stuffy in charge of the cuddling booth, but he hugs too aggressively. They sing the "What's Going On?" song, so Doc explains the situation. Bronty hugs Lambie, causing him to be covered in flour, but luckily, Doc easily dusts him off. Lambie sings a sad song about being unable to cuddle, but luckily Mr. McStuffins comes home and washes her just before the sun sets, allowing her to cuddle everyone after all.

This episode contains examples of:

  • Adults Dressed as Children: The Wicked King is too shy to admit he wants to be hugged, so he disguises himself as a little girl.
  • And Call Him "George": When Stuffy tries to hug, he ends up hurting everyone.
  • Celebration Miscalculation: Due to mishearing the name of the holiday, Chilly thinks it's International Puddle Day instead of Cuddle Day.
  • Disguised in Drag: The Wicked King, too shy to ask for a hug upfront, disguises himself as a girl.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Lambie was very sad about not being allowed to cuddle, but luckily she gets washed just as the sun is going down, meaning she finally gets to cuddle everyone. This is also a happy ending earned for the other toys, since they wanted to be cuddled.
  • Evil Cannot Stand Cuteness: Zigzagged — the Wicked King does want a hug, but he finds this embarrassing due to being a Card-Carrying Villain, so he disguises himself as a little girl.
  • Fictional Holiday: The episode involves "International Cuddle Day" — a day devoted to cuddling. The "International" part is a misnomer, since the McStuffinses and the toys invented it. Chilly also thinks it's International Puddle Day at one point.
  • Happy Rain: Discussed when Chilly thinks it's International Puddle Day; a day dedicated to rain puddles.
  • Insistent Terminology: As part of International Cuddle Day, Lambie calls sit-ups "cuddle-ups" and hotcakes "cuddle-cakes".
  • Melancholy Musical Number: Lambie sings a sad song called "I Can't Cuddle", about how cuddling is her favourite thing to do, but she cannot due to the flour.
  • Mondegreen Gag: Chilly once mishears the name of the holiday as International Puddle Day instead of "cuddle", and thus thinks they're celebrating rain puddles.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Downplayed. The other toys are shocked and concerned that Lambie of all people isn't cuddling anyone, yet there's nothing actually wrong with her; she's just dirty and thus was banned from cuddling so her friends stayed clean.
  • Out Sick: Parodied — Lambie is unable to cuddle lest she pass on her condition, but said condition is only being covered in flour.
  • Poor Communication Kills: The only reason things got to the point where the "What's Going On?" song was sung was because Lambie didn't explain about the flour before putting Stuffy in charge.
  • Powder Gag: Mr. McStuffins accidentally spills flour all over Lambie. Doc, being a "toy doctor", treats this like a contagious disease and tells her not to cuddle anyone, lest they "catch" it. This was especially bad for her, as it was International Cuddle Day.
  • Right on Queue: When the toys queue to be cuddled, the Wicked King (disguised as a little girl) cuts in line.
  • Serious Business: Being a "toy doctor", Doc treats being covered in flour as akin to a contagious disease.
